Chapter 7: Secrets Revealed

 The snake knocked me down and continued toward the girl. I took off my hat and charged. The girl wasn't scared at all. She grabbed her sword and swung. The snake hesitated and that was all I needed. I jumped on its back and began running towards its huge head. I was about to bring my sword down across its neck but suddenly t began writhing and squirming and I was flung onto my back. The snake was about to make me his first meal in a few millennia but then Blitz and Apollo showed up and Apollo sent fire down its throat. It backed up a little bit and spit the fire back out but it wasn't toward the three of us. It was toward the girl. The girl had no time to dodge the flame because she was still in shock, standing there with her mouth open. She was probably wondering how I wasn't sitting in the monster's stomach. The flame engulfed her and I was in my feet instantly running at her. I didn't really know what I could do but I had to do something. Just before I reached her however, I was whacked in the back of the head. I fell over and clutched my head in pain. Then I saw a ball of floating water hit the girl and she collapsed. I managed to get back up and stumble over to her with tremendous difficulty. As soon as I reached her I felt the tail of the snake wrap around me and the girl. It lifted us high into the air. ,I could barely see Apollo and Blitz. I was still close enough to see their faces and I saw their faces very clearly riddled with shock but it quickly turned into an intense anger. Apollo rose into the air levitating which was something i had never seen him do. Blitz was charging the monster with nothing in his hand. I knew they were both going to be too late. I was about to give in and let the monster eat us but then I heard a very familiar voice. It said," Don't give up son. If you do everything you know and love will be erased from this world forever and you will never find out anything about your parents. Like who they are. And the fact that I am your father." These words shook me out of my acceptance of my death at that point. I yelled and the tail exploded. Me and the girl began to freefall, but there was no way we would die like that. Apollo noticed us falling and a gust of wind hit us out of nowhere and it slowed our fall right as we were about to hit so we landed with a gentle thud. The girl was still out cold, but I wasn't worried. I ran at the monster and as I did anger was swirling around inside of me. My vision turned red and before I knew it I was a hundred feet in the air floating face to face with the horrible monster. I raised my fist and a copy as big as the snake rose alongside it. I did a smashing motion with it and the giant hand followed. The snake was pummeled into the earth. I sank back down and all I saw that was left of the snake was ashes and pieces of the exploded tail. Blitz and Apollo landed beside me with tears in their eyes. They patted me on the shoulder and whispered,"thank you." as they disappeared. They were replaced with the green skinned man who told me to go to Alaska in the first place. He hugged me and then I placed whose voice it was that told me not to give up. I was the green-skinned man. I looked him in the eyes and and asked him the most important question I had ever asked in my life. "Are you my father?". He told me yes and that he was very sorry. I shoved him away from me and got angry again. I screamed at him and I told him," 16 YEARS AND YOU DECIDE TO REVEAL YOURSELF AFTER I GO ON A WORLD SAVING QUEST? WHAT A GREAT FATHER I HAVE!". I was so angry my vision started turning red again but he snapped his fingers and I was calm. He snapped his fingers again and I was in a mansion. He explained it was his and he was completely ignoring my outburst. On the bright side, the girl was also brought here and was lying on a couch in the main room. I went over ignoring him and sat down. I was determined to wait until she woke up. Eventually she did and was very confused when she woke up. I explained everything and she calmed down. I yelled for my father and he came. I asked him and I don't know if it was from the guilt of not being here for 16 years or he felt that he had to make up for it but he brought back some PB&J sandwiches and some barbeque chips. We gobbled them down. I realized she had never told me her name. I asked her and she told me it was Lexi. I decided to trust her because she saved our lives from the smoke spirits and she could have killed us. I lay down to sleep after that and I sank into the darkness relieved to have saved the world and make a few friends along the way.
