"Annie," he said. "Annie, you're wasted. Come on. Get up. We have to find Lori. You need to go home."
Annie didn't want to get up from the couch. It was so soft and her head felt so heavy. She didn't want to move a muscle.
Jake was holding her by her wrist, gently pulling her up. "Annie, get up."
A guy passed by and Jake tapped him on the shoulder. "Dude, have you seen Lori?"
"Nah, I haven't."
"Fuck," Jake said under his breath.
Everything started spinning. Annie didn't know what was going on anymore. She still heard the music but it was so distant. It was a muffled sound and she felt like she wasn't on the couch anymore. The mattress was soft. Her right hand stretched out and she could feel a bunch of pillows were stacked on that side. Annie heard the door slammed shut and a guy was laughing. She was laughing too, but she doesn't know why.
The guy climbed on top of her and her arms automatically wrapped themselves around his neck. He kissed Annie on the forehead so gently that she thought it was romantic.
Annie's hands wandered his hair. They were soft and she enjoyed the feeling of them going in between her fingers.
The guy looked at her, his face was inches away. It was Jake. He had this small smile on but there was hesitation as well.
Annie moved her head to bump Jake's forehead gently. She giggled.
"What do you want, Annie?" He asked seriously.
"I want you to fuck me," Annie whispered seductively.
"Are you sure this is what you want?" Jake leaned to her ear and she shivered at his breath. "Once I start, I won't be able to stop. Don't entice me, Annie." He faced her again. "You're asking to play a very dangerous game here..."
Annie's hand moved to caress his cheek, her thumb playing with his lips. "I like to play the dangerous game."
Jake wanted to bail. He wanted to get up and cover Annie with a blanket. But the alcohol said otherwise. He felt the burning sensation of the alcohol mix with his blood as it scattered throughout his body...and it's boiling. He needed the release. He needed this.
Annie looked...breath taking. Her face was red because of the alcohol and the blush fitted her perfectly. Her arms pulling him down to her, asking for it. How could Jake say no? It was hard to say no. He has done this a lot of times, many girls begged to be fucked by him. But even so, it was easier for him to reject them. He didn't know why Annie was so different. Was it because she looked innocent? Was it because she gave off a different vibe? Or maybe her smile?
Yes. That was it. It was her smile. Jake liked the way she smiled when she talked to Camilla at the cafeteria. Jake liked the way her voice sounded when she spoke—so gentle, so sweet, like a mother singing a lullaby to her child. Singing...Jake wondered if she sang well. Maybe she did. He wanted to hear it someday; he looked forward to hearing it someday.
And that's when Jake realized, he adored her. From the shadows, whenever she wasn't looking, he was stealing glances her way. Creepy, yes. But Jake never fantasized about fucking her. He just appreciated how simple Annie was. And now, here she was just laying beneath him, her hands clasping his face, her eyes on him. He stooped down for a kiss.
Jake jolted awake. There was banging on his door. "Rise and shine, Jack!" The old man called from outside. "Breakfast is ready. Come on down."
Jake groaned and shifted his position. But no matter how much he twisted and turned, he couldn't go back to sleep.
"Damn it," he said before jumping off the bed.
