"Wow," was all Camilla could say after. She and Annie were sitting at the swing in a playground. They both decided to come here when Annie told her what she could remember from that night.
"Wow?" Annie breathed out a laugh. "What's that suppose to mean?"
"I don't...really know what to say." Camilla kept her gaze on the sandy ground beneath them. She studied it as if she found something interesting to look at.
Annie told her everything—at least, everything she could remember. She wanted to hear what Camilla thought because his behavior that night didn't actually strike her as the playboy type. She's confused ever since. And she started to feel hopeful. She didn't want to; but she is.
"Are you sure you remembered correctly?" Cam asked her, still not looking.
"Yes. I would never lie to you, especially about this."
Camilla let out a long breath before finally looking at her. She opened her mouth and then closed it again, thinking of the right words to use for her question. "Was he...dominant towards you?" She asked carefully.
"No...His kisses were hard, but I don't think he was dominant."
"You don't think," Camilla repeated and Annie glared at her. "Was he...kinky?" She made a face at the word.
Annie broke her gaze for a moment, trying to remember, confirming. "No."
"Really?" Cam sounded shocked. "He didn't—" she looked down, and back to Annie's face again. "—eat you...down there?"
She swallowed. "No."
"And you didn't—eat him...down there?"
Annie's face burned. "No! He didn't tell me to, either."
Camilla raised her hands. "Okay, chill! I'm just trying to piece everything together here."
She pressed her palms against her cheeks. "He wasn't dominant, and he wasn't kinky." She suddenly sat up. "Is fingering considered kinky?"
Cam's brows met. "I don't think so. And I think you left out that part. When did that happen?"
"When we arrived at his apartment."
"As soon as you guys entered the apartment, he just ripped you off your jeans?!"
"No! My head was throbbing like hell that time and I really wanted to just lay down and sleep."
"And now you're pregnant!" She opened her arms and shrugged. "Congratulations!"
Annie glared at her. "Cam."
"I'm sorry." She crossed her legs. Cam's cheek was resting on her palm, and her elbow propped on her knee. "Please, continue."
Annie growled. "I did fall asleep. I don't know for how long. I just opened my eyes and he was lying beside me. He was looking at me like he was watching me sleep, with that smile on his face. I smiled back..." Annie trailed off.
She snapped her fingers in front of Annie's face. "Concentrate."
"Well, the memory is still hazy. The last time thing I can remember is we were already kissing and taking each other's clothes off. And then...the finger happened."
A cold breeze passed the playground, making the leaves of the trees around them rustle. Ber-month is coming and they can feel it in the air. The sky is orange and purple in color. It would be dark soon, and Annie realized she still hasn't informed her mom of their little detour.
