Sorry it's taken me so long to get in contact with you! I had to go and get a Summons in order to even do this. The Kazekage forbade me from speaking to you, but you are such a little sweetheart that I just can't! I refuse to abandon a friend of mine. I wanted to know why.

Why this happened and what caused it.

Who was that man.

And why did he feel so familiar?

Why was I spared?

So many questions I wanted answered.

I'd been in that solitary hospital room for two weeks now.

I was physically fine, but I had to see a Yamanaka a couple times a day for mental evaluation.

I awakened my Mangekyo.

At the cost of my Mother and unborn sibling's lives.

Apparently that meant therapy.

Yippie.

Said no one ever.

The only constant in my life was Kakashi.

He was in ANBU and fully clothed, but he's the only one with hair like that.

I never said his name, I only referred to his ANBU name while he was in uniform.

Finally I was allowed out.

Kakashi, in non-ANBU attire, came to pick me up.

Along with the Hokage.

"Ah, Hitomi-chan. I'm glad you're well enough now." Our leader greeted me.

I gave a small smile. "Thank you, Hokage-sama. I'm so happy to finally be out." I told him.

He nodded his head. "I came here to let you know of your future responsibilities. We can go find an unoccupied place here to talk."

I was a but confused, but agreed.

The Hokage, Kakashi, and I were given permission to use the Head of the Hospital's office.

I didn't see why the Hokage wanted to stay in hospital, but I went along with it.

He waited until we were all comfortable before speaking to us.

"I'm not sure how to say this, so I won't beat around the bush. There is one other survivor." He told us.

I froze.

There.

There was another?

Someone else?

I-I wasn't alone?

He gave me a small smile at my wide eyes. "Yes, little Sasuke-chan was spared from the onslaught. He is still in here, but doesn't know you survived as well."

I furrowed my brows. Why would Itachi and him keep Sasuke alive?

Itachi loved Sasuke more than anything, so that made sense, but the other man... was he planning on using Sasuke in the future?

"I was hoping to put him in your custody, as you are the new Head of the Uchiha Clan." He added on.

"Wait, what? I'm a what now?" I accidently spoke.
