Eiji had a problem.
A really real problem.
It was Valentine's Day, but he had no one to really celebrate it with.
Hitomi was at Paradise Isle.
His parents were on a date.
No one.
"E-kun?"
Turning around, he saw Shikayuu, causing his heart to skip a beat. "H-Hey, Yuu-kun." He greeted.
"What are you doing here? I thought you and Hitomi were doing your Valentine's Tradition." Shikayuu asked.
Ah, yes.
The Valentine's Tradition.
It was something the two friends would do ever since they were kids.
They'd buy a ton of chocolate, watch a ton of movies, prank the shit out of people by throwing pink and red paint everywhere, and matching outfits.
"Hitomi has business at Paradise Isle." He told him.
"Ah."
He got the message.
Hitomi was with Shisui.
"So, um, Momo-chan told me something." Shikayuu said.
Eiji's hackles rose.
What did she say?
"What did she say?" He squeaked out.
"Ah, well, nevermind. Will you spend Valentine's Day with me? Since Momo-chan isn't here." Shikayuu blushed.
"Ehh?"
"Don't make me repeat myself."
"Oh, sure! Let's spend the day together." Eiji chirped.
💀💀
"Shisui-kun." Hitomi said to the now awake man.
"Hey, Hitomi-chan. Did you have a good birthday? Sorry I missed it." He grinned.
"Yeah, I guess." She said quietly. "Shisui-kun, we need to talk."
His smile fell from his face for a singular moment before popping back up.
It had been two months three months since Hitomi received her promotion to Chunin.
During that time, a message was sent to her to give him more time to recover, so she'd stayed away.
"Hitomi-chan, you do understand that I'm loyal to village. I can't just disclose the information you want."
Hitomi frowned. "ANBU, huh? And you will. Konoha assumes you to be dead, they never searched for you, and I saw who the people who killed our family." She hissed.
