I''m going to change up the perspective stuff so don't get confused... :)
Starkit POV
"Shellpaw, from this day on, you will be known as Shellstreak. Dustclan honors you for your courage and your loyalty, and we welcome you as a full warrior of Dustclan."
"No, let me sleep a little longer," I yawned, snuggling into my mother's warm fur.
My eyes popped open, suddenly realizing that the nest was empty. I frantically twisted my head back and forth, searching for my denmates, only to be met with a darkness and silence. A sliver of bright light blinded me, and I closed my eyes tightly, turning around.
Blinking my sleepy and dazed eyes several times, I shook my matted fur. A chilly breeze blew inside and I shivered, stumbling onto the soft ground and instantly collapsing from my sore legs.
An enthusiastic cheer sounded from outside.
"Cavelight! Hailclaw! Redpelt! Shellstreak! Cavelight! Hailclaw! Redpelt! Shellstreak!"
I gasped in realization. "The warrior ceremony!"
I got to my feet and began to run, but fell flat on my face. "Stupid legs, why don't you ever work when I want you to?" I muttered impatiently, "I'm gonna miss seeing my first warrior ceremony if you don't do your stupid job!"
Finally, I was able to stand up (shakily, but I still did it). I trotted towards the entrance of the den, slowly increasing my speed.
"Why didn't anybody wake me up?" I thought furiously, "They knew that I was looking forward to this since forever!"
Bursting into the clearing, I spotted a huge group of cats settled around the Dustrock and made my way to the crowd.
"Took you long enough to get up." I heard a familiar laugh.
Quickly seeing my littermates, I ran over to them hurriedly, ready to launch my humongous list of questions.
"Why didn't any of you wake me up? Is it over yet? How come nobody told me that there would be a warrior ceremony today? Wh-"
A furry spotted tail was placed into my mouth, and I looked up confusedly.
"Shhh," my mother hushed, "You can ask your questions later, sit down, there's still another ceremony to take place."
She beckoned me to towards a grassy spot near her and I sat down sullenly.
"What other ceremony could there be?" I thought, stretching my neck to see the Dustrock.
My father's bright, red pelt looked like a fire under the glare of the sun, and above him stood Silverstar. Her eyes glowed with happiness and I followed their gaze downwards.
Separated from the rest of the cats, Littlekit and Beekit sat up proudly, their pelts gleaming, and their eyes filled with anticipation.
"We have won this battle, and by making these kits apprentices, we will show the other clans that Dustclan is as strong as ever! They will think twice before trying to attack us again like that." Silverstar's proud voice rang throughout the clearing.
"Littlekit, come forward." she meowed.
Starkit's best friend nervously stepped up, her paws slightly shaking.
"Until you recieve your warrior name, you will be known as Littlepaw. Shadowgem, you are a strong and brave warrior. I know you will teach Littlepaw to become a great warrior."
Littlepaw trotted over to her mentor and they touched noses. Shadowgem whispered quietly in her ear and she looked relieved as she sat down beside her.
"Beekit, come forward. Until you recieve your warrior name, you will be known as Beepaw. Heatherclaw, you are a smart and talented warrior. I sure you will teach this appretice everything you know."
Beekit's eyes met his new mentors and he rushed over, bumping their heads together in the process. Quickly backing away, his eyes locked on the ground, embarrased.
I smiled as I saw Heatherclaw give a soft laugh.
"Littlepaw! Beepaw! Littlepaw! Beepaw!" the clan chanted pridefully.
"I hope I get mentors as good as theirs," I thought, before running over to congradulate my friends.
