"Are you okay? Are you hurt? Ma'am, can you hear me?" It feels like forever when he breaks the silence. Maybe he had been talking this entire time but, I was to mesmerized by his eyes to listen.

"Here, sit up." He places a gentle hand on my back and slowly tries to push me into a sitting position. A stinging pain occurring in my right side stops him from his actions and I hiss loudly in pain.

I am now snapped back to reality, and am aware of how many people are now surrounding us. My mother's car is flipped on it's side in the side gutter of the road and the mystery man's blue Mustang looks nearly untouched, with the exception of a few scratches.

"What's your name, love?" I once again look up to the man, shock still prominent but willing to let me speak.

"K-Kennedy." I stutter, people's voices that are talking into their cell phones becoming a great echo in my head. Probably louder than it really is. I cover my ears to block some of the sound, but more pain shoots through my body when my left arm hits my forehead.

"Easy there love." He takes my hand away from my face and closely examines it with extra percussion.

"We need to get you to a hospital. Did anyone call the paramedics yet?" He asks the people around us and they nod, some working together to try and flip my mother's car back over.

My mother.

"No....No, no, no, no, no! I don't need to go to any hospital." I shake my head and use all the force in my body to pry away from the man's arm, struggling to stand to me feet.

Unfortunately  for me though, everything just starts to black out as soon as i'm on my feet and I scream at the pain in my stomach, progressively sinking back to the ground. The man catches me in his arms once again and picks me up bridal style.

"Screw the paramedics, bloody bastards. I'll take you myself." I am to weak to reply or even function, so I relax into the smooth leather seats of the man's car and fall into an unhealthy state of unconsciousness.

"Ma'am, I think you need to calm down."

"Calm down? That little bitch! She ruined her own sister's wedding and now we have to reschedule another slot for the venue and call all of the guests who canceled all their plans to come to the wedding and-"

"Pardon me, but your daughter is barely conscious with a fractured arm and broken rib and lucky to be alive! I don't know you, but you have to be the most downright heartless person in all of Nevada if you can't find the time to have a little compassion for your own blood and flesh!"

I groaned at the two arguing voices that kept going back and forth. The sounds seemed to boom and echo in my head. Almost like someone was talking through a megaphone straight into my ear.

"Well who are you to tell me how to treat my daughter? Your nothing but a stranger and who knows what you've got up your sleeve. I don't know what you were thinking when you pulled her from that car, but if I were you I would have left her ugly ass laying on the dashboard for her useless body to rot and burn!" The sound of glass breaking and wood breaking frightens me and I dare to snap my eyes open.
