A Long Road to Nowhere

3 Days Before

I smile and watch Ness and Finn cuddle, 'they are cute together' the cursed voice whispers to me. I look down at my phone and see two notifications, both of them asking me to update my vlogs soon. I sigh and look out a window "alright guys... where exactly are we going?" I ask while still looking out of the window. "Texas" Finn and Levi answer me at the same time and I laugh "okay guys.. no need to yell at me." I smile and glance at Foxx, who is sleeping already. 'No body wants to talk to you, trash' that damn voice jabs at me and I scowl. Finally we pull up to August's house, where he is waiting out front for us.

"Hey guys!!" He says as he climbs in the car. He shuts the door behind him and we start to drive again. "Hey August!" I say and he flashes me a smile before starting to play a game on his phone. 'Seeee, even August is not talking to you' I try not to say something aloud for the fear the others will call me crazy 'you are crazy, nobody likes you, you are a second choice' I ignore the voice and try to get comfortable so I can sleep. I close my eyes and let the darkness take over my senses.

I am sitting on the floor in the middle of the room, I can feel my sister sitting behind me while my brother is in front of me. "Momma..?" I say quietly and my siblings shush me "Who's talking?" The demonic figure steps out from the shadows and looks at me "You, little girl.." he pauses and continues to walk closer to me.  "Nekio.... remember this," he lowers himself down so he is eye level with me. "You. Were. A. Mistake." He smiles evily at me before lunging and...

I gasp and wake up, still panting from my dream "woah Nekio, you okay?" Chase looks at me worriedly and I shrug "just a nightmare.." I say quietly, hoping me wont pursue the subject. To my relief, he looks at me but keeps his mouth shut.. saving me from having to explain my frequent nightmares. I look out of the window and fight the tears thretening to slip out of my tightly shut eyes 'if they really cared, they would know something is wrong. I told you, they dont care.' I stop trying to fight them and I feel the tears running down my face and all I can think about is the last time I saw my mom.

We were running through the sprinklers in the front yard when a man walked up to us. Mommy stops playing so I do too. I look up at mommy, who looks scared and I look at the man, who js still walking closer to us. My mommy looks down at me and she tells me to go inside "but momma!" I start to protest but she cuts me off. "Nekio, darling, go inside please... and remember.. Mommy loves you." I look at the man, who is now just feet away from my mom, and I take off running towards the house. I hear my mommy scream as I run through the door and I immediately know that she is gone. The last thing I remember before passing out is looking out of the window to see my moms dead body, hanging from the tree.
