Chapter Four

"CHICKEN??" Kris yelled in disbelief, looking at the white opened box cartons in the middle of the circle of friends full of steaming, golden, crunchy fried chicken. Kai had finally come with food, much to everyone's eagerness, as the wind had started to pick up and form gray clouds and swirls in Luhan's vision, with little pockets of icy blue and earthy brown.

"You asked me to get food hyung so I got my favorite: chicken!" Kai said, beaming at the boxes. Luhan could almost hear his inward sigh.

"And," continued Kai, " I got warm tea, energy drink, and fries!" He rummaged through the plastic bags, handing out containers and bottles left and right, and throwing plates, napkins and ketchup packets.

"Let's eat!" Chen yelled, smiling wide, taking a drumstick and biting it savagely, despite Xiumin's scolding to get a plate, stating that "he wasn't an uncharacterized savage."

Everyone dug into the steaming meat except Kris, who stared begrudgingly at Suho, picking at the box of fries.
Luhan indulged in his warm bottle of tea, trying to steal the warmth out of the liquid, huddling close with Lay. He didn't feel particularly hungry, but was grateful for the younger's generosity in buying chicken and beverages and not only chocolate bars like Chen once did.

"So," Chanyeol said between chomps, "I'm hosting a party at my dorm tomorrow. We can go after our study group yea?" Chanyeol and Baekhyun were known for their wild parties, yet they were strictly invite only. Usually they hung out with their group of friends in a hidden room while his other friends partied, unaware that their hosts had slipped away to their real buddies.

"I'm down. I don't have anything I need to do tomorrow." Kai said, nudging his brown hair away from his face with a pinky. Luhan watched him closely, watching over his sensitive dongsaeng. He flicked off a piece of hair from Kai's plate.

"Alcohol is gonna be a very heavy factor, I can already tell." Xiumin replied, matching his look at with Chanyeol and Baekhyun's sly gaze. Luhan wrinkled his nose. He didn't really like liquor, but could hold his own when given the chance.

Kris noticed his discomfort and said out loud, " Let's limit our alcohol Chanyeol. Not everyone can chug a full six pack and be fine. "

Chanyeol grinned at Baekhyun, who quickly quipped, "The more practice one has, the better they'll get at it." He smiled at the crowd, beckoning with his large hands. "Trust me, I got it all planned out."

The nine continued to feast on chicken through the chilly afternoon. Luhan tended to cherish the long afternoons with his best friends very much because it made him feel so normal and carefree. He loved sitting down with his mates, drinks in hand, eating good food and-

bang, bang.

Luhan looked up in annoyance, mirroring everyone's confused looks. An expensive looking car had parked in front of the school next to their tree, and two people had gotten out of it.
A blonde, who was occupied with staring at his phone in his slender fingers, and...

...and one of the most stunning person Luhan has ever seen.

He was wearing dark sunglasses that contrasted starkly against his pure moon pale skin, his long brown hair swept in an attractive middle part, framing his face. He wore a thick black turtleneck that rose up to his jawline, and over that a black leather jacket with silver metal accents. His black pants were tight, and Luhan couldn't help but bite his tongue and try to prevent himself from flustering too hard, much to his horror.
