20: those we trust

-Tom's pov-
I awoke early in the morning as per usual to tord laying his head on my chest, the commie was sleeping softly not making any noises apart from the short mumbles when he moves about in his sleep. He looked peaceful, I lay there a while not wanting to disturb his slumber before eventually replacing my body with a pillow so he didn't wake up just yet, he needed rest. I sighed slipping on my blue hoodie and looking at myself in the mirror Matt put in my room, I notice that there are two neon stubs poking out of my head. I almost jump before realising those are just my horns sticking out.. man I'm am idiot. Anyways I cover my horns over with my hair before folding my hoodie over my head, much better. I stopped to think why I was doing this In the first place, Matt and edd know that I'm a monster now so what's the point... oh yeah.. Eveyln. It was something about her that I didn't trust, that look in her eyes was scary but familiar in some way, like she'd seen the devil himself- oh wait that's just tord.

Anyways I walk out the door, shutting it quietly behind me before turning around only to become face to face with Evelyn. I then proceed to fall backwards onto he floor in shock, she looks down at me with that emotionless look on her face before sighing and holding her hand out to help me up. "Good to see you too.." I say before turning and walking down the hallway, she seems embarrassed by this and suddenly says, "s-sorry I'm not used to this.. human contact thing.." she says quickly. I stop and turn my head a little to look at her, she's still wearing that torn scarf but at least she's now wearing what looks like a grey hoodie, it probably used to be black.. it looks like she borrowed it from tord. "No problem" I reply before turning and walking away, I wasn't in the mood for human contact with anyone to be honest. She seems a little confused but shrugs it off before walking the other way over to edd who's also just woken up.

As they chat I make my way into the kitchen, even though I'm not feeling that hungery I still make an effort to eat a piece of toast before retreating into the living room onto the sofa. I grap hold of the remote for the TV before switching it on and skipping through the channels, I manage to land on comedy central as south park is on. I sigh relaxing myself as I watch one of the more newer episodes about politics, I hear a yawn as Matt walks out from the hallway and over to the kitchen. I'm surprised he's out of his room this early, he usually spends an hour on his hair.. he did go to bed earlier than usuall so.. anyways.

Eveyln comes out of the hallway along with Edd who makes his way into the kitchen, but Eveyln just pauses.. looking at the screen like she's having a flashback. I turn over towards her, lifting my arm over the back of the couch, "hey Eveyln, you allright?" I ask reluctantly. She seems untouched by my words, still staring blankly at the screen, "EVEYLN" I say loudly. She snaps out of her trance shaking her head before rushing off into the kitchen after edd, I shrug letting out a sigh. Tord was right about one thing, she's pretty quiet, I focus back on the screen not letting anything what just occurred bother me. It isn't long until I'm disturbed again, this time by Edd who's just come out of the kitchen drinking a can of cola. "Hey tom" he says settling down on the other soda, "hey" I reply barely making a effort to communicate. Ringo comes over and curls up on his lap sofly seeming untouched by my presence, "me and Matt might be going out with Eveyln for a while so you and tord will be alone" he says catching my attention at me and tord alone. "Sounds cool" I reply making a bit more effort to show that I'm listening, he smiles at this. "you two don't go getting into any trouble ok?" He says as Matt walks in and sits far across from me on the sofa, looking over his reflection. I nod mumbling something of aprovall before focusing more on the episode, Edd and Matt then seem to move into a conversation as I do so.

Once the episodes over, I look around to see that Matt and Edd are allready out of their seats and getting ready to go out. Its then that i notice eveyln leaning against the wall seeming distant and going over her thoughts, I stand up and stretch almost reaching out to Evelyn but I hear tord come out of the hallway yawning a little. I look over to see his hair all ruffled up and his holding dragging I'm his hand behind him, I smile before walking over to him instead. Eveyln says gaze shifts uneasily between the two of us and the floor before she walks away into the kitchen alone, her shadow looming behind her like a hawk of shadows.

"Morning monster boy" Tord mumbles sleeply before almost falling on the floor but being caught in my arms. "Need some help there beautiful?" I ask sofly as he becomes a bit more awake, he laughs a little at this before kissing me on the cheek. "Make me a coffee slave!" He yells acting all silly, I sigh leaning him against me. "have you been drinking?" I ask noticing how he's acting, he replies with a "ppffff, nooo" making me give him a questioning look. I walk him over to the sofa and lay him down before turing and walking into the kitchen, he tugs on my hoodie making me pause and look back at him. "Please stay?" He asks giving me a pleading look, I frown at him, "how am I supposed to make you coffee?" I ask. He thinks to himself, "hmmm, good point.. EVELYN!" He yells turning to the figure in the kitchen doorway, she looks up at him from her book. "..Yes tord?" She asks politely, "make me a coffee!" He demands, she quickly drops what she's doing and walks into the kitchen. I look at her in awe as tord lays down softly, "there! Eveyln's got it, now lay with me thomas" he huffs curling up in the blanket left lying upon the couch. I shrug, if I can't beat em I might aswell join him.

Timeskip~

Just before Edd and Matt head out with Eveyln I look over to edd from the hallway as Matt allready stumbles out the door. "Hey Edd?" I ask, He turns to me, the sun beaming out front the door behind him and reflecting onto him. "Yeah?" He says, I stop and think before moving a little closer so no one else can hear. "Better careful around Eveyln, my monster side dosent trust her" I say quietly as tord and Eveyln say their goodbyes before she heads out. Edd looks at me, not fulling understanding at first but then it hits him and he looks away for a moment before looking back calmly. "Ok tom, I trust you".

Oooowee, that was a fun chapter, It seemed like a bit of a filter at first but now looking at it I'm like, "hmmm nah".

Do note that this chapter only took like 3 hours to write so I'd I got any misspellings be sure to let me know (~>W<)~.

Ooooo hey its like Halloween, too bad I don't celebrate it... but consider this a Halloween special nonetheless.
