Dreams

The sun was slowly sinking down and the crickets were just starting to chirp. She ran her long hair

whirling behind her. The footsteps thundered behind her. She ran blindly, her feet were raw and

bleeding. Sticks attacked her bare arms and legs. The cold bit through her night-gown. Soon she

heard the unmistakable sound as the gun went off behind her. The bullet whizzed by her ear, only

about a centimeter away. She tried to run fast but her legs suddenly seemed to be made of lead. She

slumped to the ground in despair.  Tears of forfeit  rolled down her face. The man stood over the

whimpering girl the gun pointed at her only feet away. That's when I awoke in a cold sweat.  What did

this dream have to do with me, and why was I having it?
