Aaron decided it was time to go to the Capital. He asked his exhausted dad," Hey dad, can I go to the Capital?"
Peeta not knowing the question said,"Sure, anything you want." After Peeta says yes, Aaron sprints upstairs and packs a bag. He told His mom," I'm going to see a doctor in District Two." He sprints out of the house, Victor's Village, and runs to the train station. He finds a man in jeans and a plain tee shirt and whispers "Nightlock" to him. For saying the word, he receives a ticket. Aaron grins, knowing he was going on a quick ride to the Capitol. About 20 minutes later, the boy reaches the hated part of Panem. Back in district 12, Milah had just woken from a small nap after drawing a rose bush. A note was sitting on her headboard.
Milah, I will be gone for a week. Haymitch is taking me to D4 to learn about stuff. Take care. Something is inside of the desk. Enjoy! ~Aaron
She got up from her bed and slid to her and her brother's desk. Sure enough, a thick pad of paper was in the middle drawer. She grinned. Her parents couldn't get extras like paper for drawing or books or new guitar strings. They said they were sending the money to family in far away Districts. Other than that, the money went toward something for the city, she really didn't know. She had been saving up for a new big pad of paper, and Aaron had been saving up for a new guitar. Now he was back at a few dollars because he had gotten her paper. She had wanted to go to the Hob on her birthday, hopefully getting new art supplies. But her stupid mom and dumb dad had freaked out. She looked in a mirror above the desk and looked at her reflection, wondering how she and her family were even related. She had known about the Hob because she remembered going there, a small girl. That was when Katniss smiled. When her dad would teach her to draw and her mom would teach Aaron to fight. She snapped back to the real world and now saw herself. She brushed her fiery red hair and put it in a twisted ponytail. Then as she put on her favorite pink lemonade lip gloss, she decided to go talk to her parents and confront them about the Hob.
Katniss and Peeta were sitting at their kitchen table and messing around with objects near them. The mother finally broke the thick silence around her and her lover.
"I feel terrible for," she paused as she tried to jump out of her guilt. "I just feel bad for having a panic attack in front of the kids. We should make it up to them! I know Milah has been craving spaghetti for a long time and Aaron needs new guitar strings."
"Aaron is still in District 4 for another three days, I am assuming he's with Haymitch again." Haymitch Abernathy was supposed to be teaching the couple's son about all 12 Districts. Gwendolyn, their spunky and rebellious daughter, has been causing trouble for him and his wife Effie. And by trouble, I mean almost setting the cat on fire as revenge and destroying her mom's $14,000 designer dress and heels. This had meant that Haymitch has been in the capital with Effie trying to help Gwen. The couple hadn't known about Haymitch being in the capital. In the suburbs of D12, the wife wondered how Aaron was.
"I am here, President Mason. What can I do for you today?" Aaron spoke to President Mason. The leader was at a bookshelf, debating whether to read To Kill A Mockingjay (by President Snow) or Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows.
"Aaron, are you forgetting what you already have planned tonight! YOU ARE GOING TO A DATE!!!"
He was blushing madly, thinking about the girl who he was soon about to see again. Her name was Clairesse, who was called Claire for sort. One day, he was entering the train station when he saw a girl begging for a dollar because she had misplaced it. She talked to her and lied to the ticket master and got her a seat on the train. Aaron could remember that day like it was multiple days ago.
"Earth to Aaron! Hello?" the President had been shaking his arm violently and finally slapped the nightlock out of him.
"Sorry, Jo. Oh man! I've got to go! My crew will need me shortly." he exclaimed as he bumped into the case of books.
"General! You know we need to bring Bread Boy and Mockingjay into this shortly, right. Listen, I know you don't want to do this, but you," she gestured around the room "we all have worked too hard for this to turn back. He agreed!"
Her scream as she mentioned the feared person sparked a light in the young chief. Hope, anger, fear, joy. He knew what he had to do. Kidnap his parents. Aaron bowed and ran out of Johanna's room. He dialed his communicator.
"Mom, Dad. I'm in the Capital."
