Hanna: Hello, My Music Notes! Welcome to my second channel. On this channel I will be doing story times, conspiracy theories, mysteries and stuff like that. I have always loved true crime from a very young age. I love shows like NCIS, Law and Order shows like that. So for my first video I am going to be doing one on a case that is 20 years old and still remains unsolved today. I am talking about the case of Jonbenet Ramsey. Jonbenet was a 6 years old beauty pageant queen who was brutally killed. Nearly two weeks after Christmas the lawn in front of the elegant redbrick Tudor mansion in Boulder, Colorado was still decorated for the holidays. A small Santa in a red- green sleigh sat under a giant evergreen tree in the driveway. Striped candy canes lined the path to the front door. More ominously the entire property was boarded by bright yellow crime scene tape, like a package no one wanted to open. Certainly no surprise could have been more terrible than the one that confronted John and Patsy Ramsey on December 12, 1996, when the 6 year old daughter JonBenet was discovered in the basement of their home, with duct tape over her mouth and the cord of a garotte twisted tightly around her neck. The little beauty queen's fate was mad even uglier still when it was reveled that she may have been a victim of sexual assault. With no clear sign of forced entry and evidence that the crime scene had been staged-managed, suspicion soon fell on JonBenet's parents. They hired a lawyer and refused to fully cooperate with investigators baffled by, among other things, a ransom note written with a black sharpie and paper from the Ramsey's home. It demanded the oddly precise sum of 118,000, the exact amount of a bonus John Ramsey a computer executive had recently received. Investigators found it unlikely that kidnappers would kill their victim, stash that body in her home and leave a ransom note behind anyway. The case remains unsolved today, more than 20 years later. In that time more than 140 suspects have been investigated, including, bizarrely, a school teacher living in Thailand who confessed to the crime in 2006, only to have police prove he was is Georgia at the time. Both Patsy, who died is 2006, and John were officially cleared in 2008 in a decision based on since-disputed DNA evidence. JonBenet's now 30 year old brother Burke appeared on Dr.Phil in 2016 to dismiss theories that he murdered her out of sibling jealously. So who killed JonBenet? "No one," John Ramsey, now 73 and remarried, told People in 2013, "is ever going to be charged in this case" Alright that's all I have for you guys today, I hope you enjoyed this video.
