Today we got our tests in maths back. Shane was graded with an F. He wasn't upset or sad, he just rumpled the sheet and said that it doesn't even matter. After that he went back to normal and smiled brightly.
I think what Shane did should be exemplary for us. Minor incidents shouldn't throw us off track. To receive a bad grade or to lose a friend, hell yes that sucks. But these are just small chapters of our lifes, which don't really matter after all. Realizing this is is a long progress, which can be very hard. But Shane already did that, and look how happy he is. I admire him for that.
