"Um...what the..." Mackenzie said as she stared at Acacia. "Can you let me go...I really don't wanna be involved in this..."

Jairus turned back to Mackenzie, horrifed.

"No, I'm not letting you go! Are you insane? You have to help me. And so do your friends." Jairus replied.

"Um, technically wouldn't they be OUR friends since you freaking were pretending to be MER this entire time and we all considered you a friend so—"

"Mackenzie, shut the fuck up. Please." Jairus cut her off.

Mackenzie stopped talking and looked back out the window. Acacia was gone. Jairus noticed too and looked even more horrified than he was before.

"Okay, here's the plan. We're gonna drive across the country and pick up everyone. Obviously, we can't get Abi and Steph since they live in other countries, but we're gonna go get-"

"UM WHAT? My mom is gonna come pick me up tonight at like, 9:00. I am not going across the country with you, are you freaking crazy?!" Mackenzie shouted at him. "ALSO, untie me already!!"

"Okay, okay." Jairus said, untying Mackenzie's hands and feet. "Please, just help me. Acacia is insane and she wants to kill me. I can't do this without you guys. You guys are kinda like...my only friends..." Jairus said sheepishly.

Mackenzie started to feel bad for Jairus for some reason. I mean I guess if he was talking as Mer this entire time, they were kind of friends, right? Plus, she would finally get to meet everyone.

"You know what...fine. But you're gonna have to convince the rest of the girls to help you too." Mackenzie said.

"I don't think that will be too difficult, right?" Jairus replied.

3 HOURS LATER

After a few hours of Jairus explaining himself to the rest of the girls, and the girls mourning the loss of who they thought was Mer, he somehow got them all on board. They didn't know what they were going to have to do, but they knew that they were all in it together, and they were finally going to get to meet each other, so they were weirdly excited.

Mackenzie called her mom and explained that she had to take a road trip across the country and that if her mom really wanted her to grow into being an adult she was gonna have to let her and not ask any questions about it. Mackenzie hung up the phone before her mom could even say anything, and blocked all of her family member's numbers because she knew they were never going to leave her alone.

"Okay, let's freaking go." Mackenzie said to Jairus who was loading up his car that he had been driving separately for this exact reason.

Jairus picked Mackenzie up and hugged her, spinning her around.

"Hell yes!" he shouted excitedly.

Mackenzie had butterflies in her stomach for some reason and immediately became uncomfortable.

"Um. Put me down!" she shouted, pushing herself away from Jairus.

"Oh...uh, sorry. I didn't even...uh...I-" Jairus rambled, clearly embarrassed.

"Shut up. Let's just go." Mackenzie said quickly, getting in the passenger seat of the car.
