Chapter 8

At the airport, I'm early, so I go buy some Starbucks. Everyone needs caffeine at this unearthly hour. The bags under my eyes feel heavier than ever. That's right, I can feel them. I should not be able to feel them. That is a bad bad sign.

Suddenly, I can't see anything and I feel someone's hands covering my eyes. "Guess who," his voice husky from the early morning, teased.

"This can't be Jack, it's gotta be Josh?" I teased, knowing it was Jack.

"Do I feel like Josh?" the voice moves closer to my ear, until a chin rests on my shoulder and a kiss was planted on my cheek. The hands move away from my eyes and my lips turn to meet his.

"aHEM," an impatient cough interrupted us. Oh Josh. Of course.

And that is how this dirty trip got started. We're all pretty close, so I'm not particularly worried. Who knows. Maybe something will happen?

Josh picked the names. Who knows if they were rigged or not.

Faith ~ Thomas

Meredith ~ Josh

And yep, of course it had to be:

Now I'm convinced that it was most definitely rigged. Or maybe it was Fate being nice to me? Doubt it. Holy shit. I'm with Jack. This was my chance to secure my spot in his heart, I better not damn mess this up.

Firstly, we shut Jess and Sam in the hotel bathroom. They've now been dating a good, solid four months. So we already know what's going to happen in there. And of course, they both come out smiling like idiots. If only Jack and I could be like that

"Next up, Bella and Joe!" Josh tries to imitate a radio announcer. And fails. Miserably.

"You sure this thing ain't hella rigged Josh? I swear to God," Bella had been trying to convince herself that she was better off without Joe for two months straight. But they're always on and off. She swears up and down that she's not getting back together with him, but we all know better than to believe that. Joe had been pining for her, and for them to be paired together. I have to admit, it's more than slightly suspicious.

As soon as the door shuts, Josh gathers us in the farthest corner from the bathroom. "BETS, I'M WRITING DOWN BETS!" loud whispering, he pulls out the now familiar notebook that we all call the 'betting book'. Ever since the start of high school, we started taking bets on when they would next get back together.

We opened the door to see them making out, we all started calling our bets. They leaped apart, rose blossoms blooming on their faces. Bet winners collected as we shut Faith and Thomas in.

Faith and Thomas... Interesting match. I have to say... their turn was eventful, even through the pumping pulse of the blasting music, we could hear them cursing at each other. At 5 minutes, we all agreed to let them out before fists were thrown.

It had already become apparent that they were about the rip at each other's throats. We opened the door and pulled them apart. The screaming went back and forth as dragged them away. Thomas had asked about Faith's adoption, but that was kind of a sore spot for her.

"I just asked if you had ever met your mom jeez," he defended himself

Faith snapped right back, "I told you not to touch that subject. Didn't you hear me the first time? I used to think you were slightly cold hearted, but know I know that you're just an insensitive, deaf bitch." she finished her speech eyes alight with a deadly spark of fire.

Thomas drew back, "Look, I'm sorry that I pushed at it."

That's when we just decided to end the game before the teachers came and get as caught.

It was slightly disappointing, because dare I say it, I was hoping for another kiss from Jack.
