I was doing homework, when my phone rang. I picked it up happy for the break.

"Hey," he said, his voice dismal.

"Told ya they would get knocked out," I replied victoriously.

"Yeah, I guess you did. You pick the time and place, I'll pick you up before hand."

"Sure, do you even know where I live?" I asked, surprised he bothered to do a little bit of research on me.

"Yep. I found out from one of your friends," he replied obviously satisfied with himself.

"Initiative. I like it," I smiled to myself. He's so adorable. And slightly stalkerish.

"We, are going to see a Warriors game. It's on me. My family has a season pass." I was gonna go anyways, but now I have someone to go with.

"Really? But...." he asks reluctantly then trails off, remembering his part of the deal.

"Yep! I have one rule though, you have to at least try to enjoy yourself," I reply firmly, how depressing of a game would that be if Warriors were kicking ass and he was just kicking the chair in front of him moping.

"Fine." I honestly can't believe he agreed, but then again, it was his end of the deal.

The next day, he picked me up in front of my house. I guess he found out that the Warriors were playing the Raptors, he was wearing a Derozan jersey. It really brought out his muscles but I wasn't about to admit that. I on the other hand was wearing a white Curry jersey half tucked into ripped jeans and a black and grey warriors snapback hat. His face lit up when he saw me.

"Hello, beautiful. I don't like the warriors, but I sure do like you in a jersey," he grins and I follow him into his car. A real beauty at that. Not as hot as him though.

When we made it into the game, I took a back entrance to the locker room. I couldn't wait to see his face when he found out that my dad was the team's accountant and I had organized a visit with both teams.

I knocked on the door and a deep voice that I now recognized as Steph's voice called out, "Come in sweetie!" I love how they all knew me. The thrill that runs through me whenever I see one of their faces off the screen. It's amazing.

I prepped Jack, "Now hun. You. Are going to. Love me. For this." I swept open the door and familiar faces on the tv screen were staring back at us. Before this day, I never truly understood it when people said that their jaw dropped, but I swear to God, his went slack and just dropped harder than a beat drop.

"A-a-are you serious?" he stuttered absolutely in awe. I smirked.

His smile was like a little kid's. As you grow older you don't smile as wide, because you realize the world isn't that innocent, and not everything is rainbows and unicorns and cotton candy. He went back to a time when you believed your parents whenever they said everything was going to be alright.

At that moment, I believed his smile. Everything would be alright between us, maybe even good.
