H... why... why do the fates do this to her. Why would they put Percy right in front of her, only to have it not be Percy anymore. Who ever was in front of her in that arena wasn't the man she was in love with, she had sent that man to hell. This Percy, he was cold and brutal and enjoyed the pain he was giving his friends. This Percy said he wanted to die, and it was her fault.

How dare he not even speak to her, how dare he run away and leave her after she lost him for so long. Annabeth's sadness quickly turned into anger, she wanted him back and he wasn't even give her a chance. She flashed to Olympus.

Percy flew away from camp not caring where he was going, tears freely fell from his eyes and were taken by the wind. He hated his life, he hated being Percy Jackson. He wished he would have been killed those 500 years ago, he wished that he would have died in Tartarus, he wished he had never returned to the world of the living, and he wished that he wasn't him.

More tears fell down his face because he knew his wish would never be granted, he would live forever. Alone.

He knew he would never be loved again, he knew he would be alone forever, and he was ok. He didn't want to have that feeling of protecting others. He wanted to be alone, he craved the danger of nothing protecting him. Fighting was the only thing that made him feel alive.

He didn't know where he was, he didn't care, he just wanted to get as far away from his life as he could. He wanted somewhere that held no memories where, nobody had everybody had ever heard of Percy Jackson, where there wouldn't be a demigod or satyr for miles.

He never tried to stop the tears, he never tried to stop his emotions anymore. They were his power. All the sudden he dove down so quickly a large boom was left behind as he angled himself towards the ground.

'Welcome to Montana'

"At least its a place i've never been before, that's a first." He grumbled as he walked into the forest. He started flying low dodging between the trees until he was far enough from anything that he was completely alone. He found an empty clearing and decided this was his new home, forever.

He pulled Riptide and cut down a tree and started to make firewood. Once he got the fire going he prayed to a god, he prayed to Hestia.

"Hestia, i know we never really spoke much except for that final battle, but you're the goddess of home and you don't hate me. I was hoping for just like a tent of something to make this place feel more like a home. That's all i need." He dumped all the food he had, which was a single apple, into the fire in a sacrifice to her.

"Percy." He looked up and saw her shimmering in the fire. "I will do more than give you a tent. I can bless you to have powers over fire and the minor ability to summon food, and a tent."

"Would you really? Thank you Hestia it will be very useful now that this is my life." The flames came out around him but didn't burn. He felt a strong comforting feeling wash over him, like a hug from his mom.

"You deserve it Percy after everything you've been through, it's not right for Zeus to just expect you to be able to be happy with those people again. Your secret is safe with me, and here's your tent." She handed him a little black silk square. "It's like the hunters tents, all you have to do is thrown it on the ground for it to expand and touch the top to collapse it." He nodded his thanks and she flickered out of the flames and disappeared.

"Welcome to your new life." He threw the silk square on the ground and watched it spring into a tent with a bed, couches, tables and chairs, and a heating and cooling system. He summoned some water and put out the fire before laying down contently.

He sensed a presence entering his tent and jumped up causing the lights to flicker on. There was a wolf cub, she was almost all black with white and red spots on her muzzle.

"Do you need a family." He knelt down expecting her to run away, she ran straight at him and licked his face. "Well i guess you're mine then. What should your name be? How about Rowen." The little wolf pup jumped up at him. "Come on the Rowen, let's go to sleep." He lay down and she curled up next to him.

He woke up and did what he did everyday, summoned breakfast for himself, he showered using the bathroom in his tent, went outside and trained himself with the bow he had carved. He walked outside without a shirt on to eat breakfast and jumped back.

"Hey Percy." His eyes widened as he saw all the girls in silver lounging around his little camp.

"Thalia? Why are you here?" Then he saw Artemis and disappeared into his tent and returned with a shirt on.

"I'm here because the hunt decided it was time to find you." She sat on one of his log chairs.

"If Zeus sent you to take me back to camp then you gonna fight, because i'm never going back there." Artemis stepped forward.

"Perseus i'm here to invite you to stay with us, for now, Zeus won't know and you won't be alone. We could use a guardian..." She seemed nervous about how he would react.

"You won't tell Zeus?" She nodded. "And i won't just be some slave to the hunt, we will all do an equal share?" All the girls nodded now. "You promise."

"We promise Percy." Thalia spoke for the whole hunt. His face split into a grin and he threw an arm around Thalia.

"Does this make me the first male hunter Artemis?" He smiled down at her in her twelve year old form. She grew to an eighteen year old, his age.

"Yes it does. Now let me finish your blessing." She touched his forehead and he felt like a small part of him was finished now that his blessing was complete. "Since you are male you taking an oath won't do anything so you aren't attached to me." He nodded.

"Is this where we will camp for now?" She nodded. "Well then you should probably start putting up your tents."

"Hunters, start camp." The went around the edge of the large clearing Percy had made setting up their individual tents and Artemis put hers down next to his.

"River is through their," He pointed through the trees. "You won't need to hunt too often unless you want to i have food covered." They looked at him confused and he snapped his finger and a piece of pizza appeared in his hand. "Long story."

"Good thing we will have plenty of time together, Perseus."

"Well if we have so much time together will you atleast call me Percy." Artemis thought for a moment then nodded her head. "Oh Thalia there's someone i would like you to meet." He gave a loud whistle and Rowan walked out of his tent. "This is Rowen, she just kinda showed up in my tent the first night and never really left."

"Thats strange wolf pups would usually stay with their pack and if they got lost they certainly wouldn't just approach some random camp." Artemi studied Rowen who was sitting next to Percy.

"Well i was trying to sleep and she just walked into my tent and started lick my face." He shrugged. "I don't know why she's here, but she is." He reached down and scratched behind her ear.
