Thalia was broken, and she knew it. She had lost Percy, again. She lost him when she joined the hunt, she had lost him when he went on that stupid quest against Gaea, she lost him when he was sent to Tartarus, she lost him when he disappeared right after he got back, and she lost him when he disappeared two weeks ago.
She kicked her bed hurting her toe. "Fuck." she flopped back on her bed and looked around.
Her tent was a mess since she had barely left for days, she was mad at Artemis for breaking Percy's heart. She was mad at Percy for leaving her. She was mad at the fates for doing this to her family. She was just pissed, she was sick of hunters trying to get answers, she was sick of Artemis trying to talk to her about what happened. She needed to get away from camp.
She pushed herself up off the bed and looked into her mirror. Her hair was frizzy and she had mascara swiped under her eyes. She sighed and wiped it away.
"Time to leave." She started throwing extra clothes into her bag and then ended up throwing in some make up. She looked outside her tent and saw all the hunters eating dinner. She slipped out and faded into the shadows.
She ran, she turned and ran. Being a hunter gave her insanely increased speed. She raced through the forest with the grace of a deer, not making a sound. She emerged from the tree hours later sweating and panting.
"Time to find out where in Hades I am." She walked into the city and wandered the streets. She ended up getting a coffee before wandering again.
-Linebreak-
Percy layered in his bed smiling up at the ceiling. Him and Tori had gotten Chinese food from some random truck and just walked around talking with people. It was amazing, like a little take away from the city. They talked and laughed never leaving each other's side.
They had come up to the apartment and watched a movie. He sighed thinking about how they had curled up on the couch constant arguing over this giant blanket they could have both used comforgably.
He was realizing some of the things reminded him of Annabeth, but he never thought of her when he was with tori, or Artemis. Tori, she was something else. She just had this carefree feeling that just made you feel free and full of life. She was so bouncy and energized. He loved it.
He rested his head on his bare arm feeling the breeze of the wind on his bare chest...then his door was flung open.
He jumped up and instantly reached for Riptide. He looked and saw curly brown hair and pajama shorts with some old tank top.
"Tori you scared the shit out of me." She ignored him and waltzed into the room with an evil smile of her face.
"Can I dye your hair blue?" She corrected herself at his horrified expression. "Not totally blue, just like highlights of blue. It would look really hot on you." She plopped down on his bed not missing a beat.
Now he was tired and not thinking straight at the time. "Yeah...sure. Can we do it in The morning, let me sleep first." She huffed and stood up.
"You promise?" He nodded tiredly. She jumped up and down for a second before giving him a kiss on the cheek and walking out of the room humming.
He reached up and touched his cheek, her lips felt burned there. He sighed and lay down on his bed once again pulling the sheets up to his waist.
Damn the things this girl could do to him. He flipped on to his side staring out out at the glowing yellow lights of the city. He heard laughter and cries of joy from the alley down below. He smiles as he fell asleep.
