I woke up earlier then usual because I had to go to school a bit early to meet the new kid, I was a bit nervous and curious about him once I got ready.

I tried my best to keep quiet because Aeri and I share a room, but I failed once I stubbed my toe by my desk. I let out a small shriek of pain but I quickly covered my mouth.

"Chae? Why are you already leaving?" Aeri questioned with a groggy voice, her eyes widened. "AM I LATE?!" She instantly got out of her bed in fear.

"No, no I'm babysitting the new kid so I have to go to school earlier." I shook my head, soothing my foot by rubbing it.

"Oh, lame." She laughed, getting back into bed while I continued to get ready.

By the time I was about to leave, Aeri was eating breakfast. "See you!" She waved with a small smile with a mouthful of cereal.

I chuckled a bit to myself as I put on my shoes, "Bye Aeri." I said before unlocking the door, once I left the house I started to think about how to introduce myself to him.

I suddenly was startled by my phone buzzing in my hand.

Meet me by the trees after school, we haven't had a date in a while. (: –Jin

I smiled at his text, responding with an okay along with a smiley face. Once I entered the school, the place was really quiet. I could only here my footsteps echoing until I got to the office.

"Ah, the new kid will be a bit late just by five minutes or so. Just wait here." The office lady spoke to me with a soft smile as I entered.

I nodded and I just slumped down on a chair and scrolled through my phone.

I started seeing some kids go early for sports practice and class tutorials, but no sign of the new kid.

I was surprised with a tap on a shoulder, I looked up and instantly lifted myself up.

"Seong Chae Young, this is Kim Taehyung. He'll be the new student for you to help around." Mrs. Gen spoke.

I was shocked to hear that name. A mix of emotions ran through my brain as I struggled to speak.

"K-Kim Taehyung?" I stuttered my words, I didn't know what to feel, I was completely frozen, mentally and physically.

"Seong Chae Young." He murmured, his tone was low, he gave me a small glare.

"Ah, alright perfect. I gave him his schedule. Just show him around, alright?" Mrs. Gen patted my shoulder and walked into the staff area.

"I-uh.. Um." I stuttered my words once more, I couldn't help but be shocked. I didn't know whether to hug him or just stand my ground. He was my childhood best friend though.

"I can help myself." He gritted his teeth, his words are cold and harsh.

"I- Tae!" I called out to him as he continued to walk, we entered the hallways as he looked at his schedule looking around for his first class.

"Don't call me that!" He almost yelled.

"W-what did I do wrong? Kim Taehyung I'm really here to help you. If you hate me so much just at least listen to me when I tour you and we'd stay away from each other." I hesitantly placed my hand on his shoulder, offering as much comfort as I could before he pushed it off me violently.

"Fine." He scoffed, barely looking my way.

Why is he so cold? We were so close before, a dynamic duo basically.

"You could sit with my friends at lunch if you don't have anybody to go to.. I'll just.. Um." I looked for the words to say, nothing came out.

He just ignored me and changed the subject. "Just show me around and tell me the rules around the school so I could get away from an annoying bug like you." He spat, I was taken back but I managed to nod.

He gave me his schedule and I looked, we had the first three classes together, last class he had with Jimin and Namjoon.

"Hey, in the last class I don't have it with you, but I could introduce you to my friends if you'd like." I gave him a weak smile, he just ignored me once again.

"Um.. alright.." I let out a deep sigh, I was so confused and upset as to why he was so cold to me.

More and more students came in, and I could see my friends. I felt as if Jimin saw me and he was making his way toward me.

"Um, lets go." I quickened my pace to show him the gym.

"Chae Young!" I heard Jimin call out.

"I'm not running, why are you freaking out?" He shook his head, rolling his eyes.

"JUST LISTEN TO ME THIS ONCE, ALRIGHT ALIEN?!" I hissed, I quickly covered my mouth as I called him by the nickname I always did in the past.

"Don't call me that." He pushed me and began walking in front of me.

I realized my friends were already in their next class and I could show him around more. The tour consisted of me telling him where everything was and him just listening but not making a sound.

I began walking down the stairs. I was so frustrated by him, I did the tour as fast as I could so I could still make it to the last half hour of my first class.

"Where are you going?" He walked beside me, finally speaking.

"To my first class, and don't worry I won't be a little bug to you because you're on your freaking own." I spoke once were at the second floor coming from the third floor. As he was walking beside me, I pushed him away and tried to make it to my first class as soon as possible.

Once I arrived, I was greeted by my friends smiles and greetings.

"Where's the kid?" Aeri questioned as I sat in between Jin and her.

Kim Taehyung walked in the class, and just sat down in the closest desk by the door.

"Ah! Hello Kim Taehyung, did you find the tour okay?" Mrs. Gen smiled.

"Yeah." He lied, and just got out his notebook to take notes in class.

"If you need any help, you could just go to any student here or me. Don't be shy to ask." She smiled before she continued the lesson.

He looked back at me, giving me an angry glare before he turned back and began to listen.

"What's his problem?" Yoongi noticed, tapping me on the shoulder.

Luckily nobody else did, but I wanted to tell somebody.

"Hey, Jin could we switch places for a second?" I questioned and he nodded. We switched places, and luckily he didn't ask why.

"Yoongi, that's my childhood best friend. Or was, and now he's being a total jerk to me. I don't even know what I did and during the tour he pushed me, but before I got him I pushed him back." I angerily spoke, trying not to explode as I explained in a whisper.

"Are you serious? I'll beat him up real good for you." He looked at him, shaking his head in disappointment.

"No, just leave him." I sighed.

"Hey, Chae are you okay?" Jin nudged my shoulder and looked at me worriedly.

"Um, yeah. But we're meeting after school right?" I asked. Our date might be the only thing that would get me through the day.

"Of course. He gave me a small kiss on the side of my forehead as we both continued to listen in class.
