One day, hoping to get ideas for comedy films, Colin Chaney decides to eat an early brunch at the closest restaurant to the Visalia Fox Theater. It has a 50's style to it and tolerates the 21st Century. Before the waiter finds him a table, a few ponies come along. The waiter notices and decides to give them a seat closest to the window, where two people named Mystery Mint and Tennis Match are. The few ponies are Starlight Glimmer, Coco Pommel, Coloratura, and Songbird Serenade.

Food is ordered, without any meat, as ponies are herbivorous. During the wait, before the food arrives, they talk about modern day society of both realms of different eras. Egypt, Greece, Rome, Medieval Times, colonization, the U.S. westward expansion, the Industrial Revolution, the first World War, Prohibition, the Hays Office, the Depression, the Second World War, the Cold War, all the way up to now.

The food arrives, and everyone digs in. Colin decides to use not just his own money, but everyone else's to pay for the meal, much to their resentment and jealousy. After paying, he tells the animations to text/call ALL their friends, and get them to meet them inside the Visalia Fox Theater. They oblige, and everyone rushes there.

Colin borrows the theater to host screenings of three films by 20th Century Fox and lets Starlight, Trixie, Coco, and Skystar to sit with him. These three motion pictures are all in color, and star Betty Grable and Marilyn Monroe. The screening is just to help Colin get an idea of the acting styles of those blondes.
