Now then, the dream sequences are where the pastel-colored MLP: G4 characters, including the EQG and 2017 film characters, are animated in Toon Boom Harmony. However, the IRL characters are animated in rotoscope animation, like in music videos for songs like "Take On Me" by A-ha, "Innuendo" by Queen, etc.
The first dream is based on the music video for "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" by George Harrison during The Beatles, and the acoustic version of that song is the song we hear in the dream, with the "rotoscope-animated" Colin Chaney experiences events like Tempest Shadow letting Shining Armor torment her for her actions in the film, especially imprisoning Twilight and petrifying Cadence.
He also witnesses events in which ties get cut off, like Skystar doing it to Novo, Shining to Twilight, Flurry and the princesses, you'd probably get the idea like when John Fitzgerald Kennedy, under the advice of his brother, Robert, the Secretary-General, cut off all ties to Frank Sinatra back in 1962, because of Sinatra's connections to Samuel "Momo" Giancana and his mafia.
Other events being witnessed are Starlight, Trixie, and Maud, as well as Twilight's Canterlot friends, Coco Pommel, Coloratura, and Songbird Serenade, hanging out with Skystar, all of them combining their magic to make themselves seapony and relax in a body of water, Twilight, her friends, and the CMC, as well as Bonbon, Vinyl, and Octavia joining the fun, the princesses seeing the fun and smiling at it.
Colin wonders what these events even mean, as the dreamscape collapses, and he wakes up in a way that the dream was never a nightmare. Yet, he would find out what the dream even meant, and still continue his goals as a film master.
Bonus Information: I'm thinking about a dream scene that would take place either before or after the events of the next chapter, which features a few people that you might remember from the first half of the 20th Century. Dunno if any of the MLP characters should be in the second dream as well.
