THESE !!! ARE THE BEST PENS MONEY CAN BUY !!!
they're really smooth and write nicely. They're also waterproof and fade proof for those who do watercolors and they're just duidksbidne. You can get a fine tip and a felt tip in this pen. I did this chart with two other types of pens to compare opacity.

it goes on thick and doesn't leave any white spots like the sakura or the ball-point and it writes well and smooth like a gel pen. This pack was about? 13 dollars.

now these are good for calligraphy and a color outline/shadow on the outside of your art but !! don't !! color with these !!!
these I use mostly for writing and for fine detail but they're water based so, when you layer them they leave sort of a streaky feel to it, making different shades of that color when you're trying to get a solid color. I wouldn't recommend using these for just full on coloring.
I think you can get it other sets of these too. these two sets were $20 each at Staples I believe

now to my watercolors! I use Daler Rowney which is a supersupersuper cheap brand of liquid watercolors but they work super nicely! The colors are bright and it's easy to get a flat wash and a gradient with them. I have a paint container that I carry around with me to school and a small jar of water to clean my brush so I can do watercolor sketches in my sketchbook.
I got the watercolors from Walmart so, it was about $20 for 15 of them?

also good pens!! I use these Papermate Ink Joy gel pens mostly for sketches since they're not waterproof. Since they're gel pens they go on quite smoothly and they're also ideal for writing. They dry quick and so they're good for those who do pencil and then do lineart over that because they're not gonna smudge when you erase. These are a cheaper alternative to the uni-ball pens since they're like $10 for 8 of them but again they're not waterproof so, don't do watercolor with these.

anyways on to my sketchbook! I usually use a different brand but canson is good too!! If you're using any wet or saturated media like Markers or watercolor I really recommend getting this sketchbook, in the mixed media paper. It's really thick and nice and ideal for any of those just looking for a personal sketchbook. I also have a Canson watercolor sketchbook just for my more completed art pieces.
This was about? $8 at Walmart, there's also other sizes for those who want to carry this around at school/work like I do.
some other things I use: -Touch Five Markers ($20 for 40 markers on Ebay) -Sticky notes (like $1 for three pads) -Pentel water brush (not sure how much this is) -Washi tape (like 50 cents for a roll) -Sakura gelly roll white pen ($10 for 4 I think)
