Ch.1: Return to KISS World

Flare's POV

I was sitting on my couch at home in Coolsville. I was trying not to blow up from the fight with my mother. She had come over only to gripe.

*Flashback*

"What's your problem, mom?"

"I'm just concerned that with how you are, you won't gwt anywhere in life."

"Won't get anywhere? How I look?" I scoffed. "Who are you to judge who I am? You can't control my life!"

"I'm not! I'm just trying to make you better!" Silence.

"Better. No your just trying to make me like you. I am fine just the way I am. I'll get where I'm going just fine." 

*End Flashback*

She always had tried to change me since I was little. I was pulled from my angry thoughts by my phone ringing.

"Hello?" 

"Flare!" Daphne was on the other end.

"Hey Daph. What's up?"

"We were wondering if you wanted to go back ton KISS World?" Without a second thought.

"Sure. Anything to get away from my mother."

"Another fight?"

"Yeah. Same old same old. Is there a mystery or just fun?"

"Just fun but knowing us..."

"Something will come up, I know." We both laughed. "Alright, well I'm going to drive myself this time, okay?"

"Alright, we'll see you there." We both hung up. I went and got changed into different clothes, locked my door, and went to my car. I started my way to the park. The drive was very relaxing. When I got there, a production trailer was there in the parking lot. I didn't pay much attention. I say on the hood of my black and red Dodge Challenger. As I sat there, it felt like someone was looking at me. I looked around to see no one. I shrugged.

"Huh." I got up and walked to the gates.

Demon's POV

We were just wrapping up an interview. We continued to talk to the lady interviewer. In the distance I heard an engine. I turned to see a Dodge Challenger pull in.

"Sweet." I was about to look away when a familiar head of hair step out of the car. She moved to sit on the hood of the car. Guess I was staring because she looked up and looked around.

"Demon, what are you looking at?"

"Flare's here." I pointed at her. She got up and walked toward the gates. Then there was a loud car horn. She turned around and so did we. This retro-painted van parked behind Flare's car.

"The Mystery Machine?" Cat read out loud.

"The Scooby Gang." Starchild said right as the people got out of the car. It was the Gang. Scooby bolted straight for Flare.

"Scooby wait!" Too late. Scooby tackled Flare to the ground. We all laughed.

"Guys your free to go." Chip said to us. We walked towards the gate too.

Flare's POV

I laughed as Scooby licked me.

"Okay okay. Scooby let me up." I pushed him off me. I sat up and looked at Scooby. "Really?" He just nodded. I heard the gang laughing.

"Here." A hand was offered to me. I didn't pay attention to who it was. I let the person help me up. I looked toward the gang to see everyone of them and them looking behind me. I turned to see KISS behind me.

"Woah. Hi." I said as I moved back a bit.

"Hello Scooby Gang. Welcome back to KISS World!" Starchild said excitedly. We all said hi. 

"What brings you back?" Spaceman asked.

"Fun." Daphne said.

"Food." Shag continued.

"Escape." I said absentmindedly. Daphne looked at me. I realized what I said and continued. "From boredom." 

"Well I hope that can be cured here." They brought us inside with no problem. As soon as we were in Shag and Scoob were gone.

"That was fast." Velma said.

"Of course it was. They haven't ate in about an hour." Fred said. We laughed and moved through the park. A familiar man came up.

"Sorry to interrupt guys, but we need you for a bit." Manny said.

"Sure." Demon said and they walked away. I walked on in my world when Velma called me.

"Flare!" I turned toward her.

"Yeah?"

"We're going to go on a few rides. Wanna come?"

"Yeah sure..." I looked toward my right and cut short. Chikara was standing there. She motioned for me to come. Something told me to go. "Actually I'll check you later."

"Okay see..." I ran off before they finished. She had moved out of sight. I rounded the corner where she was at to see her on the other side of the court yard.

"How in the world?" I started to move toward her again. She moved into an ally way and out of sight. I picked up the pace and ran to the ally. She was at the other end.

"Come on through, Flare." I heard her say almost in my head. I bolted through. I saw her standing just outside the ally. I ran out only to run into someone.

"Hey!"

"What?!" I nearly fell but the person grabbed my waist last second. They helped me stand up right. "Oww!" I groaned as I turned to see who it was. Demon.

"What are you doing?" He asked.

"I was..." I turned to where Chikara was to see no one. "Just. Uh...um..." I turned back to him. "Nothing. Nothing at all." He gave me a confused look. His eyes traveled to where I looked and back to me.

"Okay... how about you come with me." He grabbed my hand and pulled me along. I rolled my eyes.

"I'm not crazy." I snapped. He looked back at me and smirked.

"I never said you were."
