The next morning I woke up at the crack of dawn and before Tormund. I blushed at myself and carefully got up, trying not to wake Tormund. I scanned the gorge and found Ygritte smiling mischievously at me, she saw me and Tormund sleeping. I walked over to her.
"Have a good sleep? Keep warm?" She teased.
I just shook my head, "where are we going today?" I ask.
"We are heading south and east, towards Castle Black" The deep morning voice of Tormund answered from behind me. I jumped lightly and turned to look at him, he just smiled at me with an intense lopsided smile.
"We are raiding any villages we come across" Ygritte added.
I swallowed hard at this, nervous, as I was going to find it hard to storm an innocent village and take their things, let alone think of killing them. I just nodded and walked away from the two of them standing by the entrance of the gorge until we had to leave.
The walk wasn't far until we found a small little settling, it was so small I couldn't think of any name. I knew of all the villages with names in the north, but I didn't know this one.
It was bright outside, the sun was lighting up the village that held people who were all smiling happily. I felt bad, we were about to ruin everything for them. I was busy watching the village that it took me a few minutes to realize the wildlings were moving past me and running into the village. I nervously ran with them, all of them were killing people, I saw Tormund and Ygritte just killing people. I was shocked, I have never been apart of anything like this. I stopped running and decided if I couldn't bring myself to fight then I would look for useful things to take, I could do that at least. I was rounding a corner of the house draped in green grass when something hard ran into me. I was stunned, there was a young boy staring up at me in fear. I quickly looked around to see if anyone had seen him. I didn't see anyone, so I helped the young boy up, "I'm not going to hurt you, you need to hide, or they'll kill you" I said scared for him.
"Y..your..your not a wilding" He stuttered.
I shook my head, "No". I looked around for somewhere to hide him, but this place was so small with little places to hide. I spotted a cart.
"Hide under there, I will try and find you a better spot or draw them away" I told him.
He nodded and I watched his back as he dove under the cart. I walked away from it casually and looked in a house across the way, there was nowhere safe to out him.
I jogged back out to see a Thenn holding the boy in his arms, he was talking to him, I was too far away to hear what he was saying but I could see his mouth moving. I watched as he pushed the boy and watched as he ran away, the Thenn sent him somewhere.
At The Wall -
Jon had returned to the wall, his wounds from being shot by arrows mostly healed. He was stilled worried for his sister, not that she was not safe, but what they were making her do, they were raiding. Jon knew that, but he knew that would bother his sister. He was called in front of his brothers to tell them what he gathered from his time with the Wildlings. Jon had told them of Mance's army and how there was a group south of the wall already. The conversation was almost over when Jon spoke one last time, "My sister, she is with them, most likely will be when they attack. If she is fighting with them it's because she has to not because she wants to, please don't kill her" He pleads. The men thankfully agreed and Jon was able to leave the room with some hope.
Rhaenna POV -
I was quiet that night as we continued our way towards the direction of castle black. By the looks of my surroundings we were heading towards mole's town. Tormund asked how I was when we stopped for the night, I just said I was fine. I'm sure he knew that I was uncomfortable with raiding the villages, but he didn't say anything just let me be. That night I had a dream, It started with me as my wolf Snow, I saw a huge fire. On the north side of the wall, the dream finished with me as myself hearing a faint wolf cry and seeing smoke reaching over the top of the wall. We walked all day the next day and that night we arrived at Mole's town.
Mole's town was much easier to get into unnoticed, as it was night and strangers wandering in was not uncommon. I was had walked into town with Tormund, everyone in our group walked in from different directions and in varying group sizes, as to not seem suspicious to begin with. I don't know who started killing first, but I heard some screams in the distance and then we began to run, the wildlings around me starting to kill anyone who came into their path. The houses had been set on fire as I jogged through the little town. I had my sword out, but I had not raised it, not until someone came up to me. He looked to be a traveller to the town, he had just come out of the tavern. We both paused when we saw each other. He brought his sword up first and I deflected it. We danced around for a minute or two, but I got the best of him. I kneed him in his manhood when I got close enough and brought my sword threw him. I carefully walked into the tavern, I didn't see anyone right away, they were upstairs or hiding. I went to my right and as I got closer to the back, storage area I heard a light whimper from a baby. I was slowly walking forward when I heard a shout, I whipped around to see a women running at me and see her swiftly be shot by Ygritte who had just entered.
"What are you doing?" She asked, annoyed I hadn't been paying attention.
"I heard-" my sentence was interrupted by the sound I heard.
We looked at each other and crept toward where we heard it coming from. We moved a flap to see a young women huddled behind storage barrels and baskets, clutching a baby. She looked very familiar and she had a hint of remembrance in her eyes when she saw me as well.
Ygritte brought her finger to her lips telling the women to be quiet, then she left. I stayed and looked at the girl, "You were at Craster's keep" I said remembering where I had seen her before.
She nodded quickly, still scared, "You were with the Night's Watch".
I nod.
"Come Rhae!" Ygritte calls.
I look at the girl and smile, "Be quiet and you will be safe" and with that I turn and leave walking out with Ygritte.
When we found Tormund and the others the raid was over with. We swiftly exited the town heading in the direction of the wall.
