Chapter Four

''I don't know, Harry.''

I started, ''I barely know you and I don't want to be a burden or something.''

I watched as people passing by.

Harry chuckled,

"Well, I don't know you well eighter, but you can give it a chance, right?"

I sighed,

"Yes, but.."

I scratched the back of my neck.

"But-"

Harry cutted me of by, "As I said, where else would you stay?"

I didn't really know the answer on that question, because I don't know where I am and it does not look familiar to me here.

"What happened with your 'own' home? Where do you actually live?"

Should I tell him what happened? No. I only know his name. But, maybe he can help. I mean, he seem nice and reliable. Not all tattooed boys who smoke, are unreliable. Right? Well, damn it. He offered me a place to stay the night, and I refuse it? No, we'll see how it goes. It can't be worse. I hope.

"Erm.. I, er.. Well-"

A sigh escaped my lips,

"I can't remember.." I lied.

I actually do remember, but I just couldn't tell him what happened. My eyes imidiatly became watery. I bit my lip trying to stop my tears.

Harry looked over at me with confusion written all over his flawless face,

"Are you sure?"

No I wasn't sure of what I told him. Lying is not something I do often. To be honest, I hate it.

I looked away, "I'm sorry."

"No, it's okay. I mean, you can't help it."

I turned my face to met Harry's.

"You never answerd my question."

I sat up,

"Really?" I chuckled, "You never gave me a chance to answer it."

Harry chuckled deep,

"Then, what is your answer?"

I picked at my hair.

"Well, you were right." I said while looking over at Harry. "Where else can I go.."

A small smile appeared on my face.

"So, is that a yes, or a no?"

Harry questioned while looking over at me.

What should I say. Again, I barely know him. But, I don't want to be a hobo or something..

"Alright then." I skeptical smiled at Harry.

Oh God, what have I done. But still, I'll be lucky that someone offered me a place to stay. I mean, it is not like he is an killer. Right? Even though I think he is sometimes rather intimidating. No. Stop it, Ruby. What am I doing. Don't think about those cruel things. It doesn't help me nor reassures me.

"What is it? Are you afraid of me? I don't bite."

Harry grinned.

I nervously laughed along while tugging at the ends of my hair.

"Perhaps,''

Harry's deep, slow manly voice spoke.

My eyes widen because of that word.

He gave a playful nudge against my shoulder,

"It was just a joke, Ruby."

Harry said with a smirk plastered on his face.

He seemed to enjoy it, while it only made me more anxious.

I didn't know what to say, so I just laughed along with him.

I looked at the sky, which became darker by the minute.

"What time is it?" I asked Harry.

Harry lifted his arm, and took a glace at his watch,

''Nearly ten o'clock.''

He said as he turned his head to look at me.

I nodded.

It was really cold, and I only wore a denim jacket. I shivered under the cold evening air.

''We'd better go home. So to see you have it cold.''

Harry said as he stood up.

He helped me with getting up and handed me my crutches.

''T-thanks.''

I said through chattering teeth.

I felt Harry's presence behind me. To be honest, it felt safe. When we arrived at the parking lot, I saw car lights flashing. I looked behind me and saw Harry holding his car keys. He walked past me and made his way to his car. I followed him. I followed the tall, muscular figure of Harry.

He walked over to the passengers door and opened it for me and I got in.I hate those stupid crutches. I sighed in frustration because it did not go as smoothly as I hoped. I heard Harry chuckle. He grabbed my crutches and put them in the car as well. I felt the car moving and saw that Harry was also boarded.

We drove for half an hour and none of us had said anything. It was an awkward silence. I decided to break the silence.

I cleared my throat and used all my courage,

''Erm, Harry?''

I bit my lip and looked over at him.

He turned his head to me and spoke,

''Yes?''

What have I done, I don't know what to say.. I just wanted to break the awkward silence. Shit. Harry glanced to the road once more before looking back over at me again.

''Eh, I- I wondered, ehm..''

I paused,

''Are we almost there?''

That was smooth, Ruby. Really smooth. Note my sarcasm.

"It's about 50 minutes drive from Blackpool to Manchester, so I think about another 20 minutes until we get there." Harry explained when looking back at the road again.

My eyes widened at the explanation of Harry.

I felt him smirk because of my reaction.

Manchester?
