Ecstasy: A Dricki Story

Chapter 6

Nicki and Drake were sat on the beach hand in hand just watching as the waves crashed a fe metres in front of them. They had just enjoyed a nice picnic under the moonlight and were now just enjoying what was left of their two weeks in Portugal.

Drake: I'm going back to Cali tomorrow

Nicki: Me too

It went silent again as they returned to just watching the sea infront of them. Nicki watched as Drake clenched and unclenched his jaw. There was just so much about him that drew her towards him. from the way his face was structured and the way his features suited him perfectly to his general being. He was kind, charming and one of the best people she had ever met.

Drake: This has been really nice

Nicki: It has. We need to keep contact, meet up again soon

Drake: I'd like that. I'll make sure thats organised.

Drake took his glass and topped it up with wine, also offering nicki some who refused. Nicki lay her head on his chest and relaxed onto him. The past week had gone quickly and had been a great time for nicki and drake to just spend proper time together without all the arguing and constant reminders of their past. The only problem was whether this was going to continue once they were back to their crazy lives of fame where everyone wanted to know everything about them and their private lives. That was probably one of the biggest issues in what they had before; the fact that they didnt get the time to spend as a proper couple would and instead spent most of their time away from each other which only lead to drawing them apart. Neither had every really noticed this, but maybe this trip was a wake up call for them. one that told them both to open their eyes and see what was infront of them today and not live for the issues of tomorrow. No one was ever envious of their relationship but no one ever really gave them the chance to forget about the world.

Nicki: Drake

Drake: yeah

Nicki: I dont want to loose what we have right now. It seems like i've known you all my life but when i really think about it, i've only knownn the real you for a week and its just so weird finally getting to just settle down and find out things that were in front of you and you never really realised. Makes you just think how you really dont have the time to spend your life focussing on the bad and instead you should really just sit and love whats already there

he just sat taking all of this in. What she was saying was true and he had only just realised this himself. It felt good though.

Drake: I dont want to loose you either baby, and if it really is meant to be then we will work through all of this and it will work out fine for the future. we may face a few bumps on the journey but who doesnt. its all just a test to see how long we can last and im willing to go through the whole ride for you

This was another one of the many things she loved about Drake. He would never give up. He would probably reach a point where he would feel like its not work it but he would pick himself back up and continue like it never happened. Determination was a key feature of him that made him a keeper.

It was an early start for drake, now on his way to the airport. It had been a good two weeks and it had really given him a great chance to work out who he really was and what it was that he really wanted. and yes, She was definitely what he wanted. in everyway possible. He couldnt be more certain, but there was one catch to it all. She had to be willing to return the same commitment as he was giving because he was fed up of this being a one way street. He did feel that she was going to be more commited then in the past and maybe this time it could become something so much better.
