Riverdale. A sweet, innocent town, full of friendly people, and of course your local biker gang. It looked like the perfect Utopia, where people got along and were friends. But that's not the case.

Riverdale was just a locked box of secrets waiting to be opened. The murder of Jason Blossom seemed to be the key to secrets of this perfect town. The town grew darker, colder, and scarier as more and more secrets were spilled. No one knew who to trust, so when they told the wrong people their secrets things got messy.

Catalina was a South Side Serpent by birth. Her great grandfather was the man who started the gang in the first place, giving her, and her father, and his father before that, the right to the gang.

Everyone in Riverdale believes that F.P. Jones in the leader of the Serpents, but he's just the one who gets the things that Catalina tells him to do, done. Catalina knew about what F.P. did with Jason Blossom's body after he was murdered, but she didn't find out about it until the night he was arrested, just like everyone else in town. People who knew her on the South Side thought that she was the one who told him to dump his body in the river, but then they found out that it was really Jason's father who told him to do it, or he'd go after his son, Jughead.

Jughead and Catalina may have both grown up on the South Side, but they never knew each other all that well. Hell, Jughead didn't even know that Catalina existed, but she knew about it him. She only knew about him from Joaquin, and F.P.

Jughead was moving from Riverdale High up on the North side of town, down to the high school on the South Side. He wasn't all to thrilled about the move, seeing as he'd be losing his best friend who was like a brother, and his girlfriend, but he knew it would be better this way. So, on Jughead's first day at his new school, he avoided any and all phone calls from his friends back on the North Side. When he was walking to the junky looking building, he couldn't help but let out a heavy sigh.

This is for the best. He told himself as he walked through the front doors. There was a long line waiting through the doors, and past peoples heads he could see metal detectors and students walking through them. Sometimes they would go off, sometimes they wouldn't.

The boy waited impatiently for his turn, and when he did he was not happy with the outcome. As he stepped through the detector it went off and the officer there rose an eyebrow. "It's the pins in my hat." Jughead started to protest. The officer rolled his eyes and made Jughead go through the detector again, without his hat or backpack as he searched them. This time it didn't go off. Jughead huffed as he put his books and laptop back in his bag and positioned his beanie back on his head.

"Forsythe Pendleton Jones iii." Jughead turned his head to see a light brown skinned girl with colored hair talking to him.

"Uh it's Jughead, actually." He corrected her.

The girl chuckled, but nodded. "I'm Tony Topaz. I was supposed to give you the full animatronic tour, but some robots went insane and starting killing the guests, we we'll just wing it." Tony started joking. She went through a list of things that were wrong with the school, from the lack of wifi and of doors on the bathroom stalls, to the school newspaper that no longer existed. That really made Jughead upset. After that she pointed out a large group of students taking in the oh so famous drug jingle-jangle.

"I'm sorry, Jingle-Jangle?" Jughead questioned.

Tony sighed. "This place is crawling with the JJ. A highly addictive total gutter drug. So let's not touch that."

Jughead nodded. "Jingle Jangle. Fascinating."

Toni and Jughead had finally walked down the pit, also known as the cafetorium. "All right." Toni said. "Here is the cafetorium, Ghoullies sit over there." She pointed to a large group of teenagers, all staring down Jughead. "Rival gang, drug dealers, street racers, rumors of cannibalism." Jughead gave her a weird look. "Don't ask." She said.

The two walked over behind a metal gate, where the kids over there were also looking and staring down Jughead. "And we sit over here." She said. 'We' basically meant her and the rest of the Serpents.

"Wait. You're a Southside Serpent?" Jughead questioned, a little confused.

"Why do you think that I volunteered to give you the tour?" Toni asked a question back.

Jughead looked between Toni and the rest of the teen Serpents sitting behind her. "Actually, I'm gonna sit alone. Just you know, finish my book and brood." He said, trying to make it sound like a joke but failing.

Toni shook her head. "I'm confused. Aren't you like, Serpent by blood? The son of FP Jones?"

Jughead nodded. "Yeah. So I self identify as a loner, not a pack animal. I'm just gonna put my head down and try to get through this, okay?"

Jughead started to walk away, but when Toni began to speak again he stopped. "Hey, if you want to get through this, you should hang with the Serpents."

After that, Jughead stayed with Toni more than the Serpents, seeing as he didn't really want to get involved with being a full time gang member.

Catalina mainly stayed out of the Southside High-school as everything in Riverdale was falling apart. She knew if she showed up in that day and drug infested hell, things would get a whole lot worse.

Catalina did a lot of online schooling, which was odd for a Serpent to be doing. You either went to the high school, or just didn't go to school at all. But since Catalina was 'The Queen' she got different treatment than most.

The teenager sighed, rolling out of bed and walking to her bathroom. When she looked in her dirty, cracked mirror she physically cringed. Her eyes were sunken in, her skin was pale, and you can tell that she was exhausted. Even with doing online schooling the girl was still to tired from all the work.

It's worth it. She always tells herself. I'll get a good education, and then leave Riverdale. But really, did anyone ever leave this place?

Sighing, she took a shower, brushed her teeth and hair, got dressed, and grabbed some cash before walking to her motorcycle that was only a foot away from her home on the South Side. Putting her helmet on, she swung onto the bike and started the engine, and left.

Catalina had pulled up into Pop's a few minutes later, well aware that because it was so early no one would be here. And of course, no one was. Besides Pop Tate of course. She killed the engine, fixed her bag that was draped across her shoulders, and walked into the Diner.

The door chime rang, and Pop Tate himself stood right behind the counter, counting how much money was in the register. When he looked up, he smiled at the Serpent girl.

"Miss. Monroe, I'm guessing you'd like your usual?" Pop Tate asked, already walking to the kitchen. Catalina nodded, smiling and sat at the counter.

While Pop cooked Catalina her breakfast, she scrolled through her endless supply of text messages and emails, trying to respond to as many of them as she could. She was always getting updates on various things like the Ghoulies, the Serpents rival gang. Her own gang, and the North Siders.

Sighing, shut turned off her phone and ran her long, black nails through her hair. Not only a moment later did Pop bring out Catalina's breakfast. It was a simple breakfast, made up of three pancakes, coffee, and a small bowl of fruit. She smiled at the older man, and payed him.

Pop walked back to the cash register and started counting again, leaving Catalina by herself at the counter, thinking.
