SO HEE's POV
My eyes fluttered open to see..wood. I weakly got up to be met by a middle-aged women..in a Hanbok? She faced me, and gave me a surprised face. I was beyond confused.
Where am I? This isn't my dorm..or the mall. WHERE AM I?!
"Good morning dear girl." She said.
She speaks formally. Oh no..please tell me this is a dream! I went outside and saw everyone in traditional clothing, markets, people selling, people passing by, simple houses, etc. why am I here? GOD! I should be in Seoul! I-I...I don't know where I am or what's happening! H-help...HELP! I was confused as hell, I shouldn't be here.
Where am I? Why am I here? What is happening? When did I even get to the Joseon Dynasty? And HOW did I get here?!
People gave me weird looks and started to gossip. They were looking at my clothing, which was only a towel covering my naked body. My eyes widened as I cover myself, how embarrassing! Guys gave me smirks, and flirty looks. I was too embarrassed to even react, until I felt a hand on my shoulder.
And that's when I knew, I passed out again.
3RD POV
The middle-aged woman asked her local neighbors to carry the girl, once again. She seems to be addicted to fainting in front of many people. They set her down on the bamboo-like-bed, as she prepares some green tea. The middle aged woman thought So Hee's looks very beautiful, and that she was fit to marry one of the four princes of Goguryeo, Gaya, Silla and Baekje.
Once again, So Hee woke up to see the middle aged woman who treated her a while ago. So Hee was beyond confused, that she was experiencing a headache. The middle aged woman gave her a kind smile.
"You're finally awake. Once again." The woman spoke.
"E-excuse me miss, but why am I here?" She asked.
"Well," she placed her porcelain tea cup on the wooden table. "I found you weak on the ground at the woods yesterday. So I did what I could to clean and clothe you, your clothes were nothing but strange." She said.
Her eyes widened, how could I be..? She thought to herself. The lady then stood up and left the room, leaving So Hee dumbfounded. The middle aged woman then came back with a pretty hanbok, used by maidens and ladies of Korea.
"Wear this, young lady," she said until her eyes widened. "How rude of me! My name is Kyung Ji Hee." She answered. "You can call me Mrs. Yuheek Ji."
So Hee bowed, showing respect to Mrs. Yuheek Ji. "My name is Kyung So Hee, from Seoul."
"Seoul? I Never heard of that kind of place before," she spoke. "Are you by any chance a foreigner?" She asked.
"Well...no," So Hee answered. "Yesterday I got struck by lightning and I woke up to be in Goguryeo. I don't even know what's happening today, or in the present."
Mrs. Yuheek Ji gave her a worried expression, but slightly turned into a look of disbelief. She laughed hysterically that tears of joy revealed in her dry eyes. "That's impossible! You must be a crazy young girl." She commented.
"Pft, crazy? As if.." So Hee said, embarrassed.
Suddenly, a sound of an announcement was heard. So Hee rapidly slipped on the hanbok and went outside to see what the announcement was about. The royal loudspeaker spoke with a fresh scroll between his hands, signed by the four princes of Korea. So Hee clung on to her skirt, nervous as ever to know what the news was about.
"The four kings of Gogeryeo, Baekje, Silla and Gaya has formed an alliance for their four sons. Due to continuing their dynasty, every damsel shall proceed to the main place to meet with king Park Song Ho's adviser to be represented as one of the four prince's bride. There will only be one representative, who will pick one heart on the day of her choice. The picking will start tomorrow at noon, which at the next day will be her meeting with the princes in a parade. Good luck, dress your best and act at your best."
So Hee just rolled my eyes and went back inside the cottage, following Mrs. Yuheek. She looked at So Hee with full bliss.
SO HEE's POV
I know that look. She's going to involve me into a forced marriage? No, just no. I'm not stupid and light headed enough to get myself to learn to love and trust a stranger to get my heart broken. I'd rather kill myself than to marry a preppy Prince.
"If you don't want to, then you shouldn't." Mrs. Yuheek said, as her blissful expression turned into a gloomy one.
"Mrs. Yuheek, I—"
She then bursted to tears, sobbing and yowled. I felt nostalgic as I soothed her back, worried. She 'cried' harder and sobbed before saying her words, I guess she really wants me to join..this is just a fantasy...but it's also real! Hm...NO...YES?! Ugh, what?!
"I-I guess I'll never d-deserve t-to have any-a-any o-o-of my f-friend's ki-kids i-in the f-f-future!" She whined and sobbed between her cries.
I panicked and kept soothing her back until her yowling grown louder. No or yes...N-NO! Y-YES! Yes? No? Y...N...! I thought to myself, battling my ideas. I bit my bottom lip in distress, yes or no? Stupidness or bliss? Ugh! Which one...I can't choose. I bit my bottom lip more firmly, choosing an answer.
