Chapter 5: Prince Charmer

SO HEE

"W...what do you mean?" I said, confused.

"Ne Shun!"

I turned to where the voice was heard, showing a girl that looked like the same age as me and Ne Shun. She approached us with a kind smile.

"So Hee, this is Ji Pah. Eun Ji Pah," Ne Shun said as Eun Ji Pah bowed slightly at me as I slightly bowed back. "Ji Pah, this is So Hee. Kyung So Hee."

"Bae Ne Shun!" The adviser yelled.

Ne Shun bowed in embarrassment to us and went forward to the entrance of the small stone building where a lot of other girls were in. I shrugged as Ji Pah breathed her nervousness away.

"I'm so excited, I've been training for this all night." Ji Pah said.

"What do you mean by train?" I asked.

"To become the perfect representative, you must go through seven tests. First is dress judging, the elegance test, the grace test, the talent test, the knowledge test, the combat test, and the sight seeing." She said.

"B-but I haven't trained for those!"

"What a shame," she said as she faced down but then flashed a smile by holding one of my shoulder. "You know, maybe you can past one of them? It's up to the princes who will watch us!" She said and started fangirling.

"Great.." I murmured to myself. "I didn't sign up for this anyway, who wants to marry someone they just met? That's just plain—"

"Kyung So Hee!" The adviser yelled.

I flinched and walked to the entrance in embarrassment, Ji Pah then followed. She giggled, as I looked away in complete embarrassment. We then entered with many ladies inside, eager to marry one of the princes. They cringed, glared and gave me weird looks at me. Maybe it's because of the incident yesterday... I thought.

We saw Ne Shun so I sat between Ne Shun and Ji Pah. The judge was inspecting our clothing and it was almost out our column. I suddenly saw girls fangirling at the other side of the room, showing a prince. He caught my gaze and winked at me.

Heat rushed to my cheeks as I look away with a tsundere-like face. I suddenly see the judge approaching me to inspect my attire. I stood up and turned for him to see a good look at my attire. He then flashed a disgusted face.

"Excuse Ms. Kyung, but do you know what this is?" He said, softly as I nod nervously. "This is a test to be one of the prince's bride for pete's sake!"

He kept yelling at me that I was at the verge of tears. His yelling was so loud that everyone was looking at us, even the prince! It's not like I love the prince but the prince should get rid of this jerk! He kept complaining about how simple my outfit was, well at least I'm not like those girly sluts! He even said that the princes would never like me! Well, that's the point!

Tears started to escape my eyes as I wipe them up with my head tilted down in embarrassment.

"Leave now! I don't want to see your ugly face and rotten personality ever again! Never show yourself to the royals!" He yelled as I sobbed quietly.

I then walked away in shame as I wipe some tears off. Ji Pah and Ne Shun tried to approach me but the guards didn't want them to comfort me since they didn't want to I love two more girls to worsen the judge's anger, I guess. I guess I'll be stuck here forever...I can't just leave my life in the real world..I'm a mess, how do I—

A hand then held my shoulder as I get turned. It revealed the prince that winked at me earlier.

CHOI YOUNG MIN

I turned the girl who stared at me earlier, showing her beautiful face. I stood on her froward as Judge Wong, the judge who yelled at her for not wearing proper attire, flinched as he looked at me in embarrassment and fear. I glared at him.

"You should respect females more," I said. "I don't want this to happen again, got it?"

He shakily bowed. "Yes prince Young Min." He said and approached other women to inspect.

"U-uh.." She stuttered.

I get it, I'm handsome. No need to show it~ I thought and smirked. "I'm sorry about Mr. Wong, he can be a hot head sometimes."

"It's okay but..why did you do that? You should've just let him yell at me for being so oblivious," She said. "And I'm a lady, I can handle myself."

"You're saying that as if you didn't cry," I teased. "Admit it, you think I'm doughty and charming."

"Haha," she sarcastically said. "Nice try, prince..?"

"Young Min. Prince Choi Young Min of Silla." He said.

"Well Prince Young Min, my name is Kyung So Hee but anyways I have a test to attend," She said audaciously. "And your moves don't work on me." She added.

"You want to marry me, don't you?" I teased, once again.

"As if." She said and scooted away.

I dreamily gazed at her as she left. She's different from the girls I've met. She may be bitter, but she also has a sweet personality. I hope she becomes the representative! I looked around to see the other girls glaring at So Hee as I lean against the wooden part of the wall.
