Ten Days With You

Day One With You

"So you want me to be your girlfriend for ten days?" I asked him and he nodded his head.

"Why ten days?"

He had a mischievous look in his eyes, "That's a secret for now, sweetheart".

I glared at him and he grinned at me. "Oh you find that amusing, huh?" I narrowed my eyes at him, but I am finding this situation a bit nice, which caused a small smile to creep on my lips.

"Why yes", he said and he softened his look when he made eye contact with me, giving me chills.

"So what do you want to do today, boyfriend?" I asked him and he grinned when I said 'boyfriend'.

"Why don't we walk around this big mall", he suggested, "Since it looks like you're not going to finish your food".

I squinted my eyes at him, "I would have finished it if someone decided not to show up".

He just laughed and stood up from his seat. He went to my side and offered me his hand. I just raised my eyebrows at it.

He rolled his eyes and smiled, "It means you take my hand".

I chuckled and took his hand; he intertwined our fingers. This felt real.

"I know, doofus", I pushed him a bit.

"It's babe for you", he winked at me and I ended up blushing. I hid my face away from him, my hair shielding it.

"Whatever", I muttered and he squeezed my hand, softly.

We were walking around, hands intertwined. If you look at us closely, you'd think we're a real couple in love, but we all know, we're far from that.

I'm still curious on why he wants me to be his girlfriend.

Why me, though?

There's like a lot of girls here. And he chose me to do this with him.

I looked at him. I look like a midget next to him.

Yes everyone, I just insulted my own height. Oh well, gotta accept the reality. He's like a feet taller than me.

The guy up there really did a great job on him. He's so handsome.

"It's bad to stare, but for you, I'll let it pass, I know I'm irresistible", he grinned and looked back at me.

I scoffed and he laughed. "You don't look like that shy type guy from earlier", I blurted out and he suddenly stopped laughing.

I was a tad bit worried he'd let go of my hand and decided to just break this off. I kinda needed this distraction.

I don't know why, but in just a short amount of time, I find myself getting attract to him.

This is impossible, but is it possible though? To feel attracted to someone whom you just met, not less than an hour ago?

He shrugged his shoulder, "I don't know, I guess you let me out of my comfort zone".

"What do you mean?" I asked him while we were still walking, heading to what I think is the arcade.

"I'm quite shock that I'm being confident with you, I tend to be calm and serious and shy, but then I find myself being true to you, like I don't have to worry about faking who I am. I get to let out my other side of me which is the fun one", he said to me.

"I was quite shocked myself that I agreed to this", I said to him, "Maybe because I just need an escape from my life and this will probably distract me a bit".

"Why do you need an escape?" He asked me.

"That's a secret for now", I mimicked him and he laughed loudly, causing some bystanders to look at us weirdly.

"Why don't we just enjoy the day, girlfriend?" He led me inside the arcade.

"Sure, why not, boyfriend", I grinned and let him pull me inside the arcade, which was really crowded and loud.

"I can't believe you did that", I exclaimed.

"Hey, to my defense, I said that I'd take it first", he said and I shooked my head at him.

"You literally ripped the bear away from her hands", I said to him.

"She ripped it out of my hands first and demanded me to let her have it", he said, "And besides, I know you found that situation amusing earlier, I can see it in your eyes".

"Well why didn't you just let her have it", I said to him and crossed my arms.

"Because I won those tickets for my girlfriend and wanted to get the big bear for her, what else", he scoffed out.

My heart started to beat fast and my cheeks were getting hot.

"What?" I sputtered out.

He sighed and leaned on the side of his car, "I saw you eyeing it when we passed by the counter earlier and I don't know... I guess I just had the urge to get it for you".

I was speechless. I clutched the medium sized bear in my hands. The one he 'fought' for against the woman earlier. It was pretty funny how he was literally playing tug of war with this lady who seemed to be in our age.

"Thank you", I said softly. I never had someone who'd do this for me.

"Did you drive here?" He asked me. "No, I took a cab earlier", I answered.

"Alright, come on, I'll drive you home, just tell me your address", he said and opened the door for me.

I placed the bear on my lap and watched him jog to his side.

He went inside the car and turned on the ignition.

I guess I have to get use to him by now.
