Grayson's POV

"It wasn't something we had planned, Gray. It just happened."

"You just accidentally happened to have sex with my ex girlfriend?" I rolled my eyes, picking at a loose thread on a couch cushion.

"I told her we'd never do anything again, I do like her. But you're my brother and I'd never go for her seriously."

"You already did!" I yelled.

"But it was a mistake."

"She doesn't love me anymore, E."

"How would you know? You don't even try to talk to her."

"I did. When you were inside getting your wallet. The day of the carnival."

"What?" Confusion was spread across his face.

"I told her I loved her. She left."

"Bruh, you can't just spring that shit on her after breaking her heart. Use your brain, Gray."

"Wow, thanks for the support."

"Sorry, it's just you have to spend time with her. Rekindle your feelings. You can't just be like 'marry me' after stomping on her heart."

"Well, how am I supposed to do that?" I take in a long breath before exhaling heavily.

"Just... ask her to go to coffee... and talk. Then, when you're together tell her everything you feel."

"IT'S TOO LATE. Okay? It's been months."

"Exactly, it's been months. And she still loves you. What does that tell you?"

"That I haven't given her enough space to move on." I shrug.

"No, it means she still wants to be with you after all this time."

"I'm sorry I punched you."

"Don't be. I deserved it." He smiled slightly and got off the couch, patting my back on his way out.

I stared forward as his footsteps faded into his room, leaving the silence I needed to think.
