Only two boys came to get the football that was thrown at us. One looked a little bit older than me, and the other looked to be around the same age as Cassie. They were racing towards us, and Cassie and I exchanged a look with each other. They were even better looking as we got closer.

"We're so sorry! We definitely didn't mean for that to happen," the boy with longer hair said. I totally caught him checking Cassie out.

"Although I can't say I regret it, since it led us to you two fine ladies," the boy with the bandana tacked on. Frankly, I was shocked with his blatant flirting. Boys at mine and Cassie's school were a lot more subtle. This was not something that either of us were accustomed to.

"Well on that note, here's your ball. Now, can you please move? You're blocking our sun," I said as I pushed my sunglasses up higher.

Cassie looked at me, and we silently held a conversation. I could tell that the boy with longer hair intrigued her, and I let her know that I would do what I could to help her out. She rejoiced, and I knew she was thankful for what I was doing.

"Well sassy Sally, this is Hayes and I'm Taylor," Bandana Boy addressed me. He acted as though I would pass out just because I was in his presence. I quickly knew that we were going to have a tedious relationship.

"It's Ashton, and this is my younger sister, Cassie," I responded icily. His ego was suffocating and irritating.

I looked over at Cassie, and was surprised to see her already chatting with Hayes. She was flirting hardcore, but maybe that's just because I knew her routine inside and out. She was tapping her fingers on her thighs, a nervous habit she had picked up from years of playing piano. Her other hand was running through her hair every couple of minutes.

I looked at Taylor, and noticed he was looking back at his friends. He quickly looked back at me, and I knew he was going to say something to irritate me very soon. To avoid that, I stood up and made sure to shake the sand off of me. I walked over to Cassie, and I hated the fact that I was going to interrupt her and Hayes' cute little moment.

"I'm going to get some frozen yogurt at the little shop right next to the house, okay?" I asked her quietly.

"Sure, do you want me to come with?" was the response I got. I loved how caring she was, but I knew she really was only offering to be nice.

"No, don't worry. Do you want anything though? I can grab something, and then bring it back to you," I told her. She shook her head no, and then returned to Hayes.

"I'll come with you," Taylor said. I shook my head and rolled my eyes.

"No, I think I can make a 10 minute walk by myself," I told him.

"No, I'll go with you. Some of the boys were hungry too, so I'll ask them if they want anything either," Taylor persisted.

I rolled my eyes once again at him, and I knew this was going to be a long trip just to get some frozen yogurt.
