(Lucy POV)

Giants Attack!! I read on the paper. Hmm... nah. I was currently looking for a job. I need rent money by the end of this week!! I scanned the board and finally took a paper.

Help!! Demons attacking Macbeth Town!!

Yes!! Enough to split with Natsu and get enough rent money!! Where is that pink haired idiot?

Right on que, Natsu walked into the guild with Happy flying beside him.
They walked over to me, Natsu giving me his signature grin. "Hey, Luce!" I smiled back at him. "Hey Natsu! So I need money for rent and I was wondering if you wanted to go on a job with me?"

"Of course I would!! Nothing, like kicking some butt!!" Natsu said, moving into a fighting stance. I giggled at his nonsense. "The job pays 14,000!! It's probably a tough one." I said looking at him. He nodded his head. "We better get packing, then!"

"Come on Natsu get of the ground!" Natsu was kissing the ground since we just got off from a four hour train ride.

"I'm never going in one of those things again!" He said finally getting up. I rolled my eyes. "That's what you always say... Let's go find the mayor."

I knocked on the door of a big bage house it had gigantic windows and a roof that stuck out. It had a beautiful garden in the front with a stone path leading to the door.

A woman with short brown hair opened the door. "Hello, what can I help you with?" I smiled at her. "Hello, my name is Lucy Heartfillia and this is Natsu Dragneel." I said pointing at Natsu. "We're here to compete the job the mayor sent." The woman let us in. "The mayor will be right with you." She said and went into another room.

A man with a greyish beard that still had hints of brown in it came out. He was tall but his back was a little arched. He had brown eyes and was wearing a black vest with a white under shirt. He looked to be around his 40s.

"Hello, I'm Poe Kennish, you must be Lucy and Natsu as what appears my maid was telling me."

He put out his hand and I took it and shook it, he smiled warmly at me. "So you needed us to kick some demon ass." Natsu said grabbing my hand away from Mr. Kennish.

"Oh, um yes." Mr. Kennish led us to a couch were we all sat down. "The demons attack at night. They are usually causing trouble on the west side of town."

"Do you know what they are attracted to or what they look like?" I asked hoping for more information.

"They are just basically shadows and are afraid of light. They are attracted to children. They like to scare them or steal them. That's why I need this problem fixed and quickly before anymore innocent children go missing."

Me and Natsu nodded. "You'll start tomorrow morning, well I should say night." We walked out the door but right before we left I herd him whisper.,'Thank you'.

We made it to a little motel they had. Happy was sleeping in my arms. We went inside and were met with a little old lady with pale pink hair.

"Hello, how can I help you?" She asked with a warm smile. "Um, hello we would like a room."

"One couples sweet coming right up!" She said cheerfully. "Actually were not-" l started, blushing.

"Nope no need to explain."

"Yeah,we really aren't-" Natsu started with a pink tint on his cheeks.

"Don't worry, we don't charge more."

She shoved the key into my hand and basically pushed us to our room. She clapped her hands. "Enjoy!" The lady quickly ran off.

We looked at each other still blushing but shrugged it off. "They're in loooovveee!!" Happy said while yawning.

"Shut it, cat!!" Both me and Natsu yelled."

(Natsu POV)

I waited for Lucy to get out of the shower so I can go in the restroom. I was on the bed thinking of what the old lady said. 'One couples sweet coming right up!' Me and Luce look like a couple?

My stomach churned at the thought of that. My face went completely red, I stuffed my face in pillows, what the hells happening!? I herd the restroom door open. "Your turn, Natsu!" I herd Lucy's voice say.

Lucy came out in some shorts, a tank top, and her wet hair down. She smiled at me. "I'm gonna shower." I said taking some shorts and a towel from my bag. "Okay, but in the morning, we need to figure out a plan to save this town." I smiled at her determined face. "Alright."

I went into the restroom and closed the door behind me.

(Lucy POV)

I dried my hair with my towel as I slowly saw Happy's eyes open. "What time is it?" I rolled my eyes. "It's barely eight." Happy's stomach grumbled. "You better go get some food." I said smiling, "Aye sir!" And with that Happy flew out the door.

I went to my bag looking in it, after rummaging in it for a few more seconds, I pulled out a paper and pen. I sat at the desk the motel provided for us. I wrote...

Dear Mother,

Today I took a mission with my partner Natsu and his exceed Happy. Of course like usual I need rent money and Natsu needs food money. I hope I'm strong enough to save this town from the demons we have to defeat. We were put in a couples room, isn't that funny? I doubt Natsu like the dense idiot he is, doesn't even know what love is. Anyways here's the update for today, love ya mom!

Natsu came out with only some shorts on reveling his toned stomch. His abbs were out making me blush. I walked to the bed leaving my letter to my mother on the desk.

I layed down on one side leaving room for Natsu. "Where's Happy?" Natsu asked. "He went to get some food." I answered. He nodded his head and turned off the lights. "Are you sure you want to share the bed? I can sleep on the floor of you want." Natsu said. "It's fine... you wouldn't stay on the floor anyways." I said, Natsu giving me a cheeky grin.

I turned my back on Natsu, facing the bathroom door.

(Natsu POV)

I layed down next to Luce, facing her back. We stayed in silence for a little. I looked at her skin. She had smooth, soft, pale skin.

I saw her shiver and start hugging her self, rubbing her arms with her hands trying to stay warm. I finally broke the silence. "Hey, Luce?" I said in a soft voice. "Hm?" She replied. "Can I try something?"

"Sure." She said more like a question than an answer. I wrapped my arms around her waist, under her crossed arms, bringing her closer to me. She tensed up at my touch but started to relax.

I liked my arms around Lucy. I know she's safe and I can protect her. I wanted to be closer to her... I always do.

I put a strand of hair behind her ear. Leaving her neck wide and open. I stared at it for a moment until I started to slowly move my head closer to it. I stuffed my face in the crook of her neck smelling her sweet scent.

(Lucy POV)

He was so warm. I felt so safe and sound with his arms around me. He stuffed his face in the crook of my neck making me blush even more if that was even possible.

His hot breath hit my neck making it tingle, giving me goosebumps all around. I started to get closer to him, wanting to get closer to him. I felt my eye lids get heavy, as I let them fall, but before I fell asleep I herd him speak as I responded.

"Good night, Lucy."

"Good night, Natsu."
