The Past

I don't remember my mother well, but I can recall every moment of that day. I almost wish I couldn't.

We were heading to the bank to get something. She never told me what, I was to young to understand, I was only 7. The street was not busy but there were people around. The bank was the same way, not extremly busy but people were still inside. Enough it seems for the people to think it was worth it. They came in guns blazing. People fell, blood splattered. I remember my mother covering me from the bullets. I remember her tortured screams. I remember her going limp.

And why did she die?
All because some idiots wanted to take a few coins.
And who was her knight in shining armour?
No one. Not even our supposed heros who had been gifted powers to save people.

That was they day I learnt how people only care about themselves. If that's how everyone thinks why should I try be any different.

After that I had to grow up quickly to support me and my always stoned Dad. I did what I had to, and by the time I discovered my powers I already had a few crimes to my name.

They were too late and they were going to pay for it.

That day I was no longer Max Parker,
I was Phantom Frost and I am a villian

And I wouldn't change it for the world.
