Phantom Frost- A Short Story

Karma

I sat looking down at the scene below me. I have to admit the fire was a nice touch. I was looking at the museum which is on fire courtesy of moi.

He should be here soon. My eyes were scanning the parking lot for any sign of brightly coloured spandex. My patience rewarded me, a blue caped, brown haired super came flying down from the building opposite to me. Not exactly the super I was looking for but whatever.  I had fought this superhero many times before, his costume was a deep blue probably to symbolise his water manipulation, he called himself Karma for some reason, he looked about 25. Its kinda sad how he keeps being beat by me, a mere 15 year old.  Karma put out my fire with ease and the reporters instantly closed in like starving lions. Its really quite pathetic how they will do anything for a story.

I think its about time I crash their little party. A smirk slid onto my face. The temprture instantly dropped a few degrees. The reporters didnt seem to notice anything but Karma did. He was instantly back in 'save the day mode' as he looked around for me. I stepped out of the shadows behind him. He whirled around spotted me, but I mean it would be pretty difficult not to notice my blue and white spandex.

Hey Karma"  I purred looking up at him
He glared back at me, Rude much, "Frost" He stepped forward slightly towering over my short stature

"Aww is wittle Karma not happy to see me" my smirk was fully visible to him and I could see it was ticking him off.
He didn't respond, instead he chose to throw a poorly aimed punch in my direction. I easily dodged it was almost like childs play.

"What do you want?" Karma asked with gritted teeth. My smirk faltered as I thought of my reasons. I thought of the night I found out the city's super was signing autographs the night my mother died. I sneered at Karma. "Does it matter? All that matters to you is keeping up your stupid reputation" He looked stunned and I took advantage of that split second he was distracted. The ground under him to turned to ice and he instantly fell over. The smirk came back onto my face as I turned to the reporters who didnt have enough sense to run away. I raised my hands ready to torment some stupid reporters when a torrent of water hit my back and I went flying into the building I was hiding near earlier. I looked back to Karma and saw him struggling to stand. I giggle slightly at the amusing sight a rare smile unwillingly slipping onto my face. I go to stand but a sharp pain runs down my back and the smile instantly dissapears. Thats gonna leave a nasty bruise. Using the wall behind me for support I stand up slowly, finally in a standing position I look up to see my enemy also standing having gotten control of his wayward feet. He was closer than I would have liked him to be and traveling closer every second. I've got to get out of here. Pulling out a last resort I suck in a deep breath and blow, dense fog streaming from my mouth. I see his eyes widen in shock before he is obscured from view. I grab the opportunity and book it minding my hurt back. When the fog finally cleared Karma would be left with a burnt museum that was missing that days revenue and a empty street

I arrive home to see my dad passed out on the couch with about 30 cans of beer, all empty, scattered around him as usual. I head to my room not bothering to wake him up. I go to my room and strip of my suit and boot up my mothers old laptop. Being a villain has its perks like being able to afford the fastest internet. I open up Twitter to be greeted with a list of all the top Villian's and heros of the country. I take a look out of curiosity.

Heros

1. Savior - The super who didn't save my mum, can't say I'm a huge fan-  flight

2. Karma - The idiot I fought today- water manipulation

3. Rosethorn - cocky Asshole - Earth manipulation

4. Silver streak - Only here because people think he's "hot" (he's not) - Super speed

5. Barrier- Really weak has utterly no control of his powers -force fields

Villian's :(

I roll my eyes at the stupid sad face placed their by the creator of the list

1. Midnight - She is a Mass murdering pshycopath, she's pretty cool I've met her once or twice. - Shadow manipulation

2. Phantom Frost- Oh look its me! I'm pretty high up for someone whos never even killed anyone guess I must have more villany to my name than I thought- Ice manipulation duh

3. Heat stroke- Robs a lot of banks is also kinda a dick - Fire manipulation

4. Saturn- An idiot, he gave me a dollar once and expected me to give it back - Flight

5. Venus-  way to absorbed with her looks is also going to be caught very easily- Shapeshifting

I continue to mess around on the Internet when I see an Article that makes my hearts Stop

Villian Midnight has been caught by our Savior

This evening at 5pm Midnight was caught when she entered a bank planning to rob the place. Luckly Savior was in the area and was able to stop her before she did anything. Savior has been quoted saying "Now that Midnight is behind bars we will be focusing our efforts on catching Phantom Frost"

The article continued on but I couldn't read any more.

I went to bed that night in fear of what was going to happen in the next few weeks.
