4. The University doesn’t look so bad after all.
Several minutes passed. “Okay. But you know what I think we’re almost near at the University. Do you want something to drink Raine?” Harper asks.
“Oh, that was fast.” I said.
“You were sleeping for six hours.”
“What? Am I that sleepy?”
“I don’t know ‘bout you.”
“That’s lame.”
“I know.” She hand me the soda. As I drank it all and I was replenished. It seem like I’m so thirsty.
The television had a sudden blackout and Cassidy was surprised. “Oh man! I was at the good part!”
“Dear passengers. Sorry for interrupting your programs.” An old man appeared. He’s wearing a captain uniform; he must be the train’s driver. “This is the Train’s driver and for thirty minutes we will arrive at the town of Defront thank you.”
“Defront isn’t that where we suppose to stop?” I asked.
“Yes and ten minutes away from the University of Burgstone.” Harper replied.
After thirty minutes the train stopped. We all went down the train and took our stuff at the claiming area and waits in the station. Nobody went down from the train except from us. The station also looks deserted. It feels like no one travels in here.
“Let’s go and check upstairs.” Cassidy suggested.
We all carry our stuff and put it on a trolley. There’s an escalator at the side of the stairways. Posters and announcements were on the walls, some parts have graffiti and other drawings. Lights are dim so it’s kind of scary. We found ourselves up in a wide lobby. It is abandoned and old. It seems like its very beautiful before but now I think people had stopped traveling.
“I thought it’s going to be exciting out here.” I said. We are at the center of the round lobby. There are ticket booths at the sides and benches at some part. There were also potted trees and a huge dusted chandelier at the center of its dome ceiling.
We all went for the front table. A lady is was at the front of the computer. “Excuse me. May we know how to get to the University of Burgstone?” Harper asked but she didn’t respond.
“She’s wearing an earphone.” Cassidy whispered.
“Excuse me!” I yelled. She was surprised and looked at me. She moved her wheeled chair on front of us.
“Oh, I’m sorry I didn’t hear you.” She sighs.
“It’s alright, well my friends and I were just wondering about how to get to the University of Burgstone?” I asked.
“Oh, Burgstone? Yes. You’ll have to wait for a bus to arrive at the bus stop at the front of the train station.”
“Aren’t there any cab?”
“No, cabs don’t usualy travel by night.”
“Oh, thanks but how long we will have to wait for the next bus?”
“I think for about five minutes. A bus on its way to the U.B. will arrive.”
“Really? Thank you so much.”
“Yes. My pleasure. Have a good trip!”
We waited for about several minutes. A bus finally came. We hopped in it and still saw no one in it. It seems people don’t travel that much at night.
