You were the lesser known Winchester, people in the hunter / angel/ demon community didn't know about which was a good thing in your point of view, that meant that you were less likely to get hurt and less attachments. You really didn't see the point of people not knowing you , I'm mean if they were to die (which happened a lot over the years) you only had Bobby , then he died .....you were there for that sadly. Then you only had Cas , the slightly awkward ex angel who you could relate too on many levels, seeing you are a awkward person who doesn't see the point of attachment. I mean you did grow up with your brothers and Dad who started all this, and when Sam left to go to Stanford leaving you and Dean with Dad.....and you as Dean had to deal with it , you didn't blame Sam but it was the fact he didn't say goodbye. At one point you just cut off growing attach to people .
Then when Marry came back you didn't really care too much , because at one point you knew she would be gone....sure you got to see the person who gave you life but you never had an attachment like Sam and Dean (( just imagine Sam is the middle child for this okay it makes some sense for this )) so talk about awkward when you would call your mom by her first name ...and the hug ....something you weren't used to. So when Lucifer pulled her in the portal while killing Cas you felt ...kinda mum , you did cry but not on the outside .
"How can you be so calm about this (y/n)? He's the son of Satan for pete sake!" Dean yelled . Recently Jack .aka child of Lucifer . Was now living in the bunker with you guys , and Dean ...dean wasn't having it "Because , he doesn't even acknowledge that Luci is his dad Dean , he thinks Cas is . I understand where he's coming from, let him be his own person, he is a kid after." You said taking a sip of water. The tension of the bunker was at a all time high now and you didn't like being dragged into "So you agree with me then?"Sam asked and you shook your head. "Not really....don't get me wrong you guys are trying to what you think is right for him , but what about what he wants. He needs some freedom."
To be honest you actually like Jack , he is just a kid trying to understand what's going around him and why people wish to hurt him. "What?" You rolled your eyes "I'm getting not this , I see no point of this Dean just let it go ." Dean looks at you "let it go?! That kid is was able to trick Cas into letting him live !" You got up knock g the chair over "CAS WAS DOING WHAT HE THOUGHT WAS BEST, AND DIDNT YOU WANT HIM TO THINK FOR HIMSELF DEAN!! " you yelled , Dean all sip got up "I NEVER MENT THIS! WHY DO YOU EVEN CARE , YOU NEVER SHOWED ANY COMPASSION TO ANYONE , SO WHY DO YOU CARE ABOUT CAS OPINION IN ALL THIS , YOU NEVER CARED ABOUT ANYTHING !" He did it now.
"AND WHOS FALT IS THAT DEAN! EVER SINCE I WAS A KID IVE HAD TO DEAL WITH BEING UNATTACHED TO PEOPLE . DAD WAS NEVER AROUND , SAM LEFT TO STANFORD NEVER SAYING A GOODBYE , BOBBY WAS KILLED AND I LIVED MY CHILDHOOD WITH HIM SO YOU CAN SAY SHIT ABOUT THAT DEAN ! AND MARRY , SHE DIED BEFORE I EVEN HAD MEMORIES AND DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE BOTH OF YOU LEAVING WHEN YALL WOULD MAKE A DEAL!" You were up in his face at this point "So you tell me why shouldn't grow attach to people Dean , if all you guys do is die and I'm stuck picking up all the fucking pieces." And you left the library to find jack ....you needed some air . Lucky enough for you he was eavesdropping , you didnt care thought. "Come on jack . " you grabbed Deans keys "Hey where are you going !?" Dean yelled "BITE MY SHINY METAL ASS DEAN!" you yelled and left.
During the drive it was very quiet. Which wasn't a surprise really.
"(Y/n) ...why did you stick up for me ?" He asked "Because , I think you are a good person , your just not used too all this crap there dumping on you." You said, with a small smile. Your phone buzzed and you looked at it . DEAN was in big letters and you blocked his call and threw your phone in the back set . "Why did you do that ." Jack asked "I just don't want to talk to them right now , and besides you need to have fun, be a kid for once." You said with a smile. Smiling was something you rarely do so it was a sight to hold .
