Rain;

Ellen's room was actually pretty nice. The walls were a pale grey.. or green I couldn't decide which colour it was. The carpet was fluffy and rather comfortable, you could probably sleep on it. She had a clock with rabbits all over it. She really must like rabbits, she even had one in a cage in the room. She noticed me staring at it.
"This Rain, I have her here because I feel it helps my patients relax... do you want to hold her?" Ellen smiled at me.

I looked up at then back at the rabbit. She mostly white with a few small lighter brown spots. I slowly nodded sitting back in my seat as she opened her cage. She slowly picked Rain up and turned to me.

"Make sure you hold her butt so she doesn't fall." I carefully picked her up placing her in my lap, looking down at her. I've never held a bunny before.

"So..! Lilith," she clicked her pen and opened her notepad setting it on the small table next to her chair, "tell me why are you are here, or why do you think you are here."

Now that was the ultimate question, why was I here? This all happened so fast, my parents, the move, then this? All of a sudden I felt the walls of my throat closing in. A wave of panic washing over me.

"Hey, Lilith breathe, hey look at me, look at me!" She grabbed my hand looking straight at me. I followed her directions taking in a breath.

I closed my eyes exhaling and trying to calm myself.  Ellen sat back and let out a sigh. Rain nuzzled my hand a little bit, drawing my attention to her. She was so soft and comfortable in my lap. I let out a shaky breath petting her.

We sat in silence for a moment. Listening to the clock on the wall tick. And the little chattering coming from the rabbit grinding her teeth.

Ellen leaned foward, "You're safe in here, Lilith.. but.. lets start with something easier, yes?"

I peered up at Ellen. I was surprised how calm she was now, she seemed overly cheery when she first introduced herself in the café. Almost fake, but now she seemed.. more personable.
I sighed and hesitantly nodded to her request.

She shifted in her sit setting down her pen.
"I read in your documents that you haven't always live in Florida.. you're from New York?"

I nodded again.

"And you've been living with your Aunt and Uncle..? Why?"

I bite my lip slowly petting rain staring at the pen she laid on the coffee table. I was frozen. I couldn't find the strength to talk about this. It was still rather fresh it had only been roughly a month.  Ellen waited a moment, but I still said nothing.

"Wow they really weren't kidding."

I shot my head up at her, giving her a confused look.

"You haven't spoken since you got here."

I snuggled Rain a bit closer to me and looked back up at Ellen. Ellen sighed picking up her pen and scribbling something down on her notepad.

"Okay we will have another session at the same time tomorrow. Take it easy for now but be prepared to talk tomorrow." I handed Rain to her and waiting for her to put her away. I hesitantly reached my hand out to Ellen. She looked surprised but shook it, and walked me to the door.

"Lets go." I looked up at the counselor escorting me to my room.
As we walked down the hall in silence, I glanced at his name tag: Tyler. I remember Karla telling me about him. He took someones necklace and she thinks he sold it. I wouldn't put it past him, but I wouldn't put it past anyone at this point, you can't trust anyone.
All of a sudden he stopped.

"Are you deaf or something?" I looked back at him, he had an annoyed expression on his face. I didn't even hear him talk the first time.

He rolled his eyes, "Never mind." He brushed past me and stopped at my room and opened the door for me.

I glanced back at him before entering the room. Karla wasn't here, I was alone. At last. I pulled off my sweater and leggings and pull on shorts and an oversized t-shirt. I sat down on my bed and pushed my hair out of my face. It was starting to grow out of control. I've always had my hair just hitting my shoulder, now it was almost laying on top of my chest. The old blonde ombre I had was growing out as well. I didn't care though. I laid back on my bed  staring up at the underneath of the bunk on top of mine. It was only Karla and I in the dorm here, but there were two bunk beds, I'm assuming in each room. I guess I'm glad its just her and I, and thank god she isn't pushy about making me talk. Believe me I have no idea why I can't, but it just doesn't feel right right now. I sighed relaxing into the bed, I was rather beat from my first full day here. I felt my eyes get heavy.

It was a peaceful rest, until I started to dream.
