Chapter 2: Bella's POV
Edward scooped me up and began running at a high speed while I soaked his shirt with tears. "Love, it's alright." He tried to comfort me. I couldn't believe I was letting Edward go. "I-I," I began to say but Edward cut me off. "Shhh." So I shut up. I glanced out the window and saw a reddish brown animal figure forming in the distance. I knew that this must be Jacob. "I will leave you two alone Bella. I will leave to Alaska. But if you ever need the slightest thing, just call me. I will answer even if it hurts both of us." And just like that, my icy boyfriend was gone. Gone forever. But this time he had left the pictures and the presents and his number. I also saw a shimmering object placed on the table. It was my engagement ring. He had left that too. How could he possibly think I could ever forget him? I would never, could never forget him. I heard Jacob phase back into a human in my driveway so I prepared myself for what I was going to say to him. Was I making the right decision?
Jacob's POV
"Jake!" She exclaimed. "How was the fight?" "Great, actually," I remarked with a sly grin on my face. But then I got confused. "Where's the bloodsucker?" I growled. "Um, that's what we have to talk about." She murmured. "Did he leave you again? I swear I'll kill that leech until he-" "Jacob Black! Calm down!" I took a deep breath in and felt better instantly. "Jake. We kissed." I nodded my head. "And it was good." I nodded again. "I had to do this. I had to make a decision. And I'm sure this is the right decision. Jacob, I'm choosing you."
