As we left the cover of the forest, I felt my spin crawl in my unease. I'd never really left the forest until now.

We only left the forest because Bing had the bright idea to go and try to find some sort of human civilization. I'd never seen any humans in my life so I guessed they wouldn't be in the forest. Bing said that he'd seen some humans running around the fields before so that's the direction we're heading.

As I walked after Bing, I came to a stop just before I left the shade of the trees.

I guess Bing heard my footsteps stop, because he turned and gave me a curious look.

"Why'd you stop?" He asked.

I looked up to meet his mismatched gaze. "Nothing, it's just.." i sighed. "I've never left this forest." I admitted staring at my feet.

Bing looked at me with surprise, though it quickly turned to understanding. "It's alright Fire. I've traveled with those wolves for some time now so I'm not that bothered by travel now, but I remember how I felt the first time Feyra and I left our original home." Bing turned and walked back so he stood tall in front of me.

"I know that first leaving home can be scary, especially into a place with such differences from which they came. But be strong for me. Kay Fire?" Bing offered a smile and I gave him a short nod.

"Okay."  I agreed.

Bing straightened up and turned, continuing to walk through the open fields. "Lets get going then." He said, putting his elbows in the air and resting his hands at the back of his neck.

-Small time skip-

After a long while of walking, i thought i saw an orange light through the misty air.

I squinted at the light, trying to distinguish what it was. After a few seconds i saw that it was fire!

"Bing look!" I exclaimed, pointing toward the small campfire with a few small siloettes in the distance.

Bing stopped walking the direction he'd been going and followed where i was pointing, towards the fire.

"It's a fire!" I exclaimed.

Bing looked down at my feet and snickered. "Well, speaking of fire.." he teased.

I was confused for a second, before looking at my feet to see s few blades of grass had caught fire and were now crumbling into ash. I realized it had been caused by my excitement and tried to put it out, only succeeding in making the tiny fire bigger.

At this point, Bing was laughing heartily at my antics.

"Oh yeah, laugh it up." I grumbled, annoyed. "Just wait. One day you'll be the one on fire." I threatened, though i knew it wasn't true. At least.. not purposely.

Bing booped my nose. "Sure Fire Fox."

I grew a puzzled expression. "Okay i get Fire, but where the heck did Fox come from?" I questioned.

Bing shrugged. "Whatever, lets get going before you light the place up." He said, starting to walk towards the fire.

I crossed my arms mutinously and followed him, grumbling profanities under my breath.

Bing then surprised my by scoffing. "Such language!" He exclaimed sarcastically, putting a hand to his chest. "Who knew this 'sweet' 'little' fourteen year old  knew such words!"

I rolled my eyes at him. "Hey I heard those air quotes."

"I did no such thing!" He gasped.

I groaned. "How does anyone put up with you?"
