"Oh? You're here again, Yoongi?" I asked him as I entered Jimin's room.
He stayed silent.
Yoongi hasn't left Jimin ever since he first got at the hospital. It's been a week since Jimin's in coma. The doctors said he's stable but won't wake up yet due to the shock. They're not sure how long it'll take for him to wake up. This waiting has become basically unbearable, especially for Yoongi.
I sighed. "You're really worried about him, huh?"
No response.
I sat down next to him. "Yoongi, you haven't spoke to us ever since Jimin got here. Jimin will wake up soon, I'm sure of it."
"It's my fault." He spoke while facing the floor.
"Yoongi, don't say that! It wasn't your fault, it was an accident. And it's not like as if he was dead."
Yoongi looked down.
Ah, I shouldn't have said that.
"Listen, Yoongi." I approached him and patted his back. "Don't blame yourself. If it wasn't for you, Jimin wouldn't have survived."
He sighed. "I feel guilty though. We had an argument and he went off running because of it. And I started it." He looked at me. "I feel terrible, Jungkook. I could've stopped him but I didn't because I was a coward."
Tears started forming up in his eyes. He looks like he haven't slept in so long. He looks terrible. He must be feeling so bad.
"Yoongi, I have no idea of how you're feeling right now since you are closer to him than anyone else, but I know for sure that you're not a coward. You tried to talk with him; he just didn't want to listen to you. And you saved his life. A coward would've run away or start panicking. But you didn't, you stayed there with him, you made him stay awake and fight for his life."
He sighed once again.
"By the way... You didn't exactly told us the reason of your argument with Jimin."
Yoongi stayed in silence for a while until he slowly spoke, almost as if whispering. "He confessed to me."
"He confessed- Wait. But didn't you like him?"
"Leave me alone, Jungkook." He looked down and covered his face with his hands.
"That's a no?"
"Jungkook, if you're here to talk about the argument I had with him then leave." He looked at me with a serious expression. "Jimin's in coma and I'm scared he might get amnesia, this is not the time to talk about that."
"Amnesia...? What do you mean?"
"The doctors told me today that he might get amnesia after he wakes up. I'm extremely worried, Jungkook. I don't want to talk right now."
"Alright alright, I get it, you're right." I got up. "I'll leave."
Yoongi then rested his back against the wall and sighed.
He hasn't slept in days, he won't eat, he rarely goes home and he stays most of his time here, sitting by Jimin's feet. I wonder if he feels bad for Jimin getting amnesia or for something else. He really seems like he doesn't want to talk right now but... I have to tell him this.
"Yoongi."
"What is it?" He turned his gaze at me.
"Don't regret your decisions."
I grabbed the doorknob as if leaving but I decided to look back at him. He was staring at his feet, almost tearing up. He probably understood what I said.
"Also... If you need anything, I'm here for you." I smiled.
"Thank you, Jungkook." He thanked me and I then left.
Yoongi has always been a pessimistic. Even though he says he's worried about Jimin getting amnesia, I'm sure he's worried he'll die. Yoongi worries too much. I still can't believe a few years ago they were like complete strangers. They wouldn't get along at all, they wouldn't go anywhere together. And after properly talk to each other, they found out they had a lot in common and slowly started to get along. Yoongi was really antisocial but ever since he met Jimin he changed. He seems more alive and more positive, it's great.
Jimin also changed. He was very insecure about himself but Yoongi somehow changed that. He's more extrovert than before, he has a better self esteem and he's more open about his feelings. We all thought they would never get along; now they won't ever leave each other's side. They look like siblings, always arguing for dumb things but will never leave each other's side. I wonder if they'll be the same as before after this...
I sighed and then crossed my arms.
Thinking about this gives me chills. I can't imagine Yoongi and Jimin separated again. It's like seeing Seokjin and Namjoon separated; they're childhood friends. Those two are constantly arguing though. Kinda like an old couple.
"Hey, Jungkook!" Hoseok called me out as soon as he got there. "So? How did it go?"
"I tried talking to him but it didn't work. He only told me that their argument was because Jimin confessed to him."
"Jimin confessed to Yoongi? Ah, Yoongi must feel terrible. They're so close and had an argument because of Jimin's feelings. He probably feels guilty."
I sighed. "Yeah. And Yoongi seems more thin. He hasn't been eating properly."
He crossed his arms. "Ahh, now that's a real problem. He can't keep doing that or else he'll be the one ending up in hospital. Hmm... I think I got an idea to make him eat. I'll talk to him tomorrow. Now, let's get going. Namjoon and Seokjin prepared dinner."
We started walking away. "Namjoon? Are you sure he prepared dinner?"
"Don't worry, he only helped Jin out. Otherwise we'd be eating poison. They were counting on Yoongi to show up but... I guess we'll have to wait for next time. For now, we have more to eat."
I laughed. "Alright."
