This might seem weird, but when I scared my crush, he laughed, and chased me around the room. Honestly, this is a really good tip. If they like you, they'll be cool with it. Smile or laugh. Or maybe even chase you.
If they don't like you/hate you, they'll look angry, maybe chase you around room in a not-so good way. Maybe look at you and go back to whatever they're doing.
This worked really well for me. He even scared the crap out of me!
