It was a clear sunny morning. Elizabeth just got out of bed. The small fox was still in her light pink nightgown. As she opened the door and walked down stairs she heard a very familiar voice, it was her aunt.

"Hello?" questioned the small fox.

"Why hello there sweetie, please, take a seat; breakfast is almost ready!" piped Molly.

"Where's my mother, and why are you still here?" asked Elizabeth.

"Well sweetie, your mother went out to town, to look for a job; it's time I was honest with you actually."

"Honest? Honest about what?" questioned Elizabeth.

"Sweetie, it's been very difficult for your mother to keep you and your sister well."

"Well? What do you mean by well, is there something wrong?"

"Since your father's pass, your mother hasn't had enough money to maintain you two." as Molly said this, Nina slowly walked down carrying her doll.

"Please, both of you sit down, your breakfast is ready."

Elizabeth wondering about what her aunt told her sat there still. Nina glared at her with confusion in her eyes. After breakfast, the two sister went outside to play in the grassy yard.

"Nina, what do you think the future will be like?" said Elizabeth looking at her younger sister

"I-I think it's going to be full of fairies and magical gardens." replied Nina with awe.

"No silly, I meant, what will we do with mother, all the places we'll travel, all the food we'll eat..." Elizabeth kept going on and on about the luxury she wanted to have. Nina, as always wasn't paying much attention, the small fox had been laying in the grass until she caught a glimpse of a small young male fox approaching. He stood there looking at the two.

"Hey, what are you two doing?" asked the young fox. Nina as always hid behind her older sister, she started shaking a bit out of fear. Elizabeth stood and approached the boy.

"Who are you and what are you doing on our property?" she asked curiously and sternly.

"Well, you see, I'm Oliver. I live right over there." he pointed to a red brick house with many trees and topiary. "The other day I came here and I started picking a fight with you two, so my mother and father told me to come and apologize for treating you ladies like that."

As Oliver had finished his sentence, Eva arrived and came running towards the girls. Oliver quickly darted out of the yard and into his own home.

"Girls, what was he saying to you, did he hurt you, did he tell you anything?" asked Eva frantically.

"No mother" replied the two sisters "he just came to apologize because of what happened the other day."

"Well alright, now come on let's go inside." said Eva as she led her two daughters inside and shut the door behind her.
