I stepped outside the cafe, looking around thinking of where to go next. I saw the McDonalds over the road from me, heaving with chavs. Nextdoor to there, I saw my heaven. Blue Banana. I crossed over the road and walked past the chavs hoping that nothing would be said to me. My hope didn't work.

I heard things being said to me as I walked past, then a chav girl the others called Rachel, stepped out infront of me.

"How dare you ignore us you greasy emo! Who the hell do you think you are?!?"

I looked stunned, all I did was walk past them ignoring them, no way could that get me into trouble.

I tried walking to the side of her but she stepped in my way yet again.

"Lets just bang 'er out an' get back to Azza's house." I heard one of the lads say. Then I saw Rachel nod in agreement.

Oh shit, why me?? And on my first proper day here and all. I flinched and closed my eyes tight, waiting for her fist to make an impact on my face when for some reason I hear them run away as a males voice shouts after them.

"Now clear off to your scumbag homes and terrorise someone else, twats!"

I opened my eyes and saw Xander stood there, his face seething with anger. No wait, It wasn't... He had the same features as Xander, yet his eyes sparkled a different shade of green. There is no way, in a small place like this, can there be two gorgeous guys that look almost identical. It's impossible!

Distracting me from my thoughts, the gorgeous stranger turned to me and asked if I was ok. All I could do was nod. Within the blink of an eye, the stranger had disappeared as fast as he had arrived.

I wonder who he was? I asked myself.

"So, I managed to come out of work early,"  Xander lied, trying to disguise the fact that he had been fired. "Where would you like to go? There's the shops, park, lake and the skate park, if you're into that sorta thing."

I stood hesitating for a few seconds, wanting to see all of them. I finally decided on the skatepark, surely it couldn't hurt to go there, make some new friends perhaps.

We walk, syncronised to each others footsteps, to the skatepark as we ask eachother questions about our lives, where we live, what schools we go to.

"So you're starting at King Georges High on Monday?" he asks showing a real interest in what I'm saying.

"Yep, I don't want to though. I just know something will go bad" I say, starting to imagine the new school and the people there. If there was people like Rachel there, I wouldn't even last the first week.

"Haha, coincidence. that's my school too. If you want, I'll show you around. I'm sure I can torture myself to hang around with you." he winks at me and continues grinning.

I gaze at him, happy to hear that I've found my first friend but also sad, I don't know why but I wish it would be more than friends. Weird, after an hour of talking on our way to the skatepark, I feel like I've know him most of my life, it feels so comforting.

"Well here we are" announces Xander as we walk up to a massive halfpipe.

Infront of me I see a group of skaters and emos just chilling out with a can of Redbull in their hands.

"Yo, guys, say hi to Taylor. She's new in town and she's in need of some friends ok. She's gonna hang round with us." yells Xander as we approach the group.

I look at each of the people that were sitting on the wall. There was 4 people there in total. Three lads and a girl.

"Omg we finally have a new girl here. YAAAYYYYY! Now I'm not the only one!!!" bursts the girl, swinging her red and black hair around, dancing randomly. "I'm Crystal. Since the lads are to shocked to say anything, the one on the left is Ollie, the middle one is Matt and this dude next to me is Joel. Joel's my boyfriend" she squeals in pure excitement as she squeezes Joel.
