Hetty POV

Yesterday queen Victoria came to the hospital and no word if anyone is getting adopted. So most of us just think no one is getting adopted so we all are just getting on with our lives.

I am in the hallway cleaning the floor like I always do. I hear footsteps but don't care just keep scrubbing
" Hetty " I hear someone say and I now that voice anywhere .

" Yes matron".
" As everyone one knows the queen was here yesterday so I am going to inform you that she wants to adopt you". 
" Matron are you sure you got the right person".
" Positive she said the girl with the red hair and you are that only girl with red hair in the hospital so it is 100% you". 
" But what if I don't want to go ".
" No matter what you are going . So pack your things you are leaving tomorrow".
" Tomorrow?".
" Yes so say goodbye to you friend because you won't be seeing them ever again". Matron walks away and I'm on the verge of tears never seeing any of my friends again and especially Mathias the only boy I have ever loved . Leaving them is going to be like putting a knife through my heart.

Later that night

I am sitting in the tower waiting for the boys to come I feel like I am going to get sick becuase I am so scared to tell them and so upset that I have to leave.
" Hey Hetty " I hear Gideon say.
" Hey ". I see Mathias walk in and it puts a smile on my face. He smiles and me and sits next to me and puts his hand in mine intertwined are finger together. He looks at me and sees I'm upset.
" Are you ok " he asks.
" No not really ".
" Hetty what's wrong " Ned asks
" Matron came to me today and told me I'm getting adopted by the queen". We all sit in silence not saying anything. Me and Mathias knowing that we were never going to see each other again made things worse. We wanted to spend our lives together and it all just gets taken away from us
" So when are you leaving " Walter asks.
" Tomorrow". Eveyones face gets more sad.
"I'll make sure we'll see you tomorrow before you go" Gideon says.
" Thanks gid" he hugs me knowing that this may be the last time I see him made thing more sad. I hug Ned and Walter  and they go giving me and Mathias some privacy.
" So you actually leaving ".
" yes " me saying on the verge of tears.
" Why did she have to pick".
" I don't know but I now that I love you and that I didn't want this to happen".
" I love you too and I always will Hetty and just know that I will see you again even if it is on one of our death beds I will see you again I promise " he says giving me one last kiss knowing that it could be our last.
