The next day at school, I spotted Haven at her locker talking to some guy in a dark red shirt.
"Hey Haven I-"
I stopped my sentence as the guy turned around to face me.
Drew.
"Hey Kay! This is Drew. The guy I'm dating." said an overly perky Haven as she gestured towards him.
"Um, hi D-Drew nice to finally meet the guy who's dating my best friend." I said nervously.
"Hi , Um-"
"Kaleigh." I finished for him.
"Hi Kaleigh." he said, acting as if we had never met a day his life.
"Kay?You alright? You look pale." said a concerned Haven.
"I'm fine. I have to um - get to class." I said nervously as I walked away from them.
"Kaleigh." said Austin, hugging me from behind.
"Hey Austin." I said, kissing him on the cheek.
"Let me walk you to class." he offered.
"Sure."
As we walked to AP literature, I felt eyes burning into my skull.
When I turned around, it was none other than Avery.
"Hi Kaleigh!" said Kaci from beside her. When Avery glared at her, she ignored it.
"Hey Kaci." I greeted back, smiling.
We continued to walk to class, and it was then that I realized I had something I wanted to ask Austin.
"Hey Austin, what were you gonna tell me yesterday?" I asked.
"It was nothing." he said blankly.as his smile faded.
I could tell he was annoyed so I left it alone.
"Cmon babe, let's get to class." I say smiling, trying to lighten up the mood.

First period went by like a blur. Mrs. Mayfield talked and talked, and we had a pop quiz. I aced it, of course.
The weird thing was, so did Austin.
"Um, Austin, I don't mean to sound rude, but I didn't know you actually paid attention in class." I said examining him closely as we walked down the hall.
"There's alot of things you don't know about me." he said coldly, as we turned a corner.
I sighed. "I didn't mean-" I started.
"Forget it. Listen, I've got to get to class." he said as he turned his back on me and walked down the hall.
I suddenly felt so alone. I really didn't mean for it to come out wrong.I was just curious, is all. And then it got me thinking.
What else didnt't I know about him?
As I entered my math class, I felt glares all around me.
What is going on?I wondered as I took my seat towards the middle of the class.
Then I heard Avery speak.
"I figured she was easy.I mean look at her. She has slut written all over her." she said as she and Kaci turned around towards me.
"What are you staring at?" I asked, slightly irritated.
"Oh, look Kaci. The slut speaks." she said.
"What the hell are you talking about?" I asked her, raising my voice.
"Oh don't play so innocent with us. We all know you slept with Austin this weekend." she said blankly , as she took out her phone.
When she showed me the screen, my heart dropped, and I suddenly couldn't find my voice to speak.
There, on the screen was a picture of me and Austin asleep in the guestroom bed, with my huge T-shirt risen, and me lying on his chest.
"What? You thought we weren't going to find out?" she said as she smirked evily.
"We-we didn't sleep together.Well, we sort of did, but we did not have sex." I stumbled as I looked down.
The picture made me look like a pure whore. The new girl who has only been at the school for almost three weeks, in the bed with the school's most known player.
"Yeah right." she scoffed. "I'll bet anything that you were the one who asked him." she scowled as she turned around in her seat. "Looks like we found out you aren't so perfect. You're just like the rest of us.Slut ." she said.
I couldn't find the words to speak.
I felt so ashamed, so used.
Who took the picture? It wasn't Austin obviously.
Mason nor Hunter would do something like that.
So who took the picture?
Who?
I was snapped out of my thoughts by snickering.
I looked up to see Haven looking down at something on her phone.
I walked over to her desk, standing behind her, only to find her looking at the exact same picture.
There was a group of girls with her.
"Who knew my best friend was a whore?" she whispered, as she and the other girls laughed.
Did she just say that?
"Who knew my best friend was a back-stabbing bitch?" I said, frightening her from behind.
"Kay I-"
"Save it." I said coldly, as I walked out of the classroom, followed by laughs.
I was so confused. Why was everyone acting so distant? What did I do?
It was only then that I saw Austin walking in my direction.
"Austin!There's a picture going aro-"
"I know Kaleigh." he said as he stopped in front of me.
"Who took it?" I asked.
"I don't know." he stated simply.
"Aren't you the least bit worried about this?" I asked as he started to walk away.
"Not really. I've gotta go."
"Call me later?" I ask hopefully.
"Whatever." he said blankly as he continues down the hall.
What is going on?What's happening? I thought Austin was actually starting to like me.I thought as I made my way down the hall, feeling tears fall freely down my face.
I should have known. No one can change the bad-boy. Not even me.
