Chapter Eleven: A kiss goodnight.
After working out what we were going to do with our project, we shared a few laughs and before we knew it, the bell rang.
He told me that we should hang out tonight at Dejon's. I was really hesitant at first, I mean thats where Ryan and I were supposed to hang out, and well you know where that ended up going... But I swallowed my pride and said okay, and directed him to my house and to pick me up around six tonight. We could go for supper. He told me it'd be his treat and I smiled while walking out of classroom.
The rest of school was a bore and before I knew it, the bell was ringing at four o'clock to tell us it was either time to go home, or get to your extra curricular activities. As for me, I needed to go to my doctors appointment.
One week from being six months pregnant, one week also indicated my sixteenth birthday. I know, I may qualify for 16 & Pregnant! Hah, as if! The people only go on that show to get praised for their life, when everyone is only really thinking, 'you little whore! Your only sixteen and your going to have a child!" I know, I know. I used to be one of the people who would watch it and then yell at them for being so stupid. Who's the one who's stupid now? Ironic how things work out, right?
I went to the poetry club and told them I wouldn't be able to make it today. Because I had to check up on the baby, so they told me that they would wait until seven thirty tonight at Mary Lou's house, to recite our poems. Which was sweet and all, but now that means i have to actually do my homework from them.
Which is to write a free lance poem about our lives. I'd had a shitload of ideas to choose from, but I'd have to think now. Good going Anna!
I went to my locker and picked out my two text books I'd need for tonight and shoved them into my bag, then I started walking home.
"Anna?" Ian looked surprised to see me.
"What?" I glared. He knew this was his baby.
"Uh, do you need a lift." he mentioned awkwardly.
"I think I'll be fine."
"Please, just let me give you a lift to.. Uh, where are you going?"
"Why should you care?"
"Because we need to talk."
"About what?"
"Look down, that's what."
"Do you mean MY child?" I said stubbornly.
"I think that would be our child." he remained his grounds.
"Please, like you even care." I rolled my eyes.
"Just let me give you a life?"
I was getting tired anyway, so I gave in and slipped into the car.
"Have you decided what you are going to call, erm, her?" he asked nervously. "Oh, and where was it that you were going?"
"I have a doctors appointment. So there. And yes, her. I have though of Adelynn, Kenzie, Madelynn, or Gracie. I haven't made a set decision though."
"You could do Madelynn Grace, or Adelynn Grace. But Kenzie is, well.."
"She reminds me too much of Mackenzie Lou, a sophmore, I know. But its still a possibiliy."
"Look, I know this is way out of line, but.." he stopped the car right in front of the doctors office and looked at me. "I was wondering if she could have my, errr.. Last name?"
"Are you kidding me? You raped me! And then just left me there, how could I let her have your last name!"
"I would really like to be in her life, and in yours, if you'd let me."
