Jade woke up because of the back pain she felt. She got it because of the position she was in last night. Oh yeah, she forgot that she had fallen asleep on the couch. And she also remembered all that happened last night.
Then she noticed the blanket hovering over her body and it made her smile. There's only one person who would care to do this. And she knows that it was Perrie.
"Good morning J," Zara appeared out of nowhere when Jade got up from the couch.
"Good morning Z," She answered back. grinning like a Cheshire cat. "Uhm, Z, do you happen to know who put this blanket on me?" She asked, making sure that her assumption was right.
"Oh, the blanket?" Jade nodded, eager to know that it was Perrie. "I placed it on you earlier. I saw how cold you were and just decided to put it on you instead of waking you up to ask you to head upstairs. You were peacefully sleeping anyway." And the brunette's shoulder slump because of the maid's answer.
She just assumed that it was her wife. But it isn't.
She also asked if Perrie had already taken her breakfast but Zara told her that the blonde left early for work today. And it made Jade sadder. The older Geordie thanked Zara and just ate her breakfast all by herself.
Is this how being in love feels like? It feels like you're against the world when the one you love is mad at you. Jade sighed, being in love is hard when its like this. But Dani told her that being in love is the best thing ever because it makes you feel special, and the one who loves you back makes you feel loved.
But her situation with Perrie was different. She was the only one who has feelings, she's the only one who loves the other. It was a one-sided love and it sucks.
"Are you okay, J?" Zara asked as she entered the dining area again. "I've noticed how quiet you are today. Are you sick?" And then she pressed the back of her hand on the brunette's forehead to see if she was having a fever.
But Jade just shook her head, telling the maid that she's fine.
"You and Perrie got into a fight, don't you?"
"Huh? What do you mean?"
"Ever since you and Perrie got married, her face was always bright. And somehow, she learned how to smile around someone. But earlier today, I saw how messed up she looked. She seemed to be...hurt? Like, she was back to her old self again. The dull and moody side to be specific. So, I'm asking you again, are you two fighting?"
Jade sighed. "I think so, yeah."
"Oh dear," Zara placed a hand on her shoulder. "You two should talk about this. If you won't talk about it now, it might get even worse soon."
"But she won't talk to me. She didn't even bid me goodbye today." She pouted. "What should I do, Z?"
"You know, me and my boyf argue a lot like a married couple as well. But when we argue and its kind of my fault, I just talk to him about it and apologize. Or sometimes I cook him his favorite dish to make up for it." Zara said, smiling at the brunette.
Then an idea popped into Jade's mind. She knows what she's supposed to do but she needs help. And she knows that Zara would gladly help her. When the maid got her look, she smiled back at the brunette. Its like they communicated telepathically,
"What was Perrie's favorite dish again?"

"Hey Per, you're early today aye?" Harry greeted the blonde as he entered her office. But like the usual, Perrie ignored him and focused on her work. "The meeting is about to start in ten minutes." He told her as he placed another folder on her desk. "By the way, are you really sure that you're not going Dublin for that business conference?"
This caught the blonde's attention. She looked at him and thought about what he said. The last time that they talked about this, Perrie turned down the offer, saying she'd rather stay in Shields and just let the lad attend the meeting for her. Another reason why she turned that down was because of Jade, but she didn't let him know that.
"I'll go, book me a flight." She seriously said before darting her attention back on her computer screen.
The blonde's decision confused Harry but he just shrugged. He knows that the blonde is aware of what she's doing and he trusts her decisions. After all, she is his boss.
As the blonde made her way over the conference room, she felt her phone buzz, meaning she just got a text. And when she saw who was the person who texted, she frowned and just placed her phone down the table before taking her seat.
The meeting started when Perrie's phone lit up, signaling a call. But the blonde just looked at the caller ID and let it ring. When it stopped, she sighed. And then it rang again. Jade kept calling her but she wouldn't answer.
'Why is she bothering me when she could be talking to that Jed guy? She likes him but why is she bothering me?' She thought and rolled her eyes, flipping her phone screen down and just focused on the meeting.
-
Jade pouted when her call was sent to voicemail for the tenth time today. Perrie won't answer her call nor her texts. And that's where Jade realized how fucked up she was.
"So? How does it taste?" She asked Zara as she tasted the mince and dumpling she made. The blonde girl smiled and gave her two thumbs up. She clapped her hand because of that, at least she got the taste right.
Once the dish was cooked, she prepared another set of ingredients to make a cake. After all, what's a dinner date without a dessert, right?
-
"Your flight to Dublin is tomorrow night. And the meeting would last there for three days." Harry told the blonde right after the meeting.
"Okay." She answered and got inside her car. It was a long day for her since she had attended three meetings today. She has to rest now so she'll have the energy for tomorrow's flight.
Jade on the other hand, patiently waited for the arrival of her wife. She sat on the couch, fidgeting with her fingers and thinking of ways on how she would approach her wife when she gets back.
It was already nine in the evening and Perrie usually comes home at this time. But the blonde didn't arrive when the clock already hit ten o'clock.
And when it hit eleven, Perrie still wasn't home. And Jade was worried for her because of that. It's late and she still wasn't at home.
And for that, Jade felt guilty. Is this how the blonde felt last night? Where could she be? And then she thought that maybe the blonde was just getting back at her, making her feel how she felt last night. And Jade admits that it hurts.
She picked her phone up and tried to dial her number again but she still got straight into voicemail.
"Oh, Perrie...where are you?" She said, teary-eyed.
She leaned her back on the couch and sighed. She's really getting worried but she didn't know what to do. So, even if it's already midnight, she remained in her place and still waited for her wife.
"Please come home, Pez," She said. "Come back home."
