Too Close

7:30 AM
Laurent POV
I was awakened by the sound of my bed squeaking.
Larry: Wake up, wake up, wake up! I made breakfast.
Lau: M..I don't want noodles.
Larry: Wake up!
Lau: What..?! I'm up, damn.
Larry: I said wake up. You're sleep drunk, that's all.
Lau: Mm, I'm not...sleepy.
Larry: Then why are your words slurring?
Lau: Y-your making no...sense...*lightly snoring*
Larry is talking foolishness. I turn to my side, but water and ice is poured all over my face.
Lau: I'm up, I'm up!
Larry: Great, let's eat!
Lau: You're always eatinggg.
Larry: That's because I'm always hungryyyyyy.
He dragged me out of the bed and brought me down to the kitchen.
Lau: Wow, this looks great. Pass me the salt.
Larry: Kk!
Lau: Nevermind I'll-
Our lips were centimeters away from each other. I'm glad I sat down before he came any closer. If I didn't, we would've kissed. I mean, I would've liked it, but still I don't want to ruin the relationship we already had...
Larry: I'll be in the bathroom.
Lau: Mhm, ok.
His pancakes were good. I kept stuffing them down my mouth ever since he left.

Larry POV
That was close. Like really close. I locked myself in the bathroom, and remembered what happened the first time I met Laurent.

Flashback
Pre - K
Larry: Hey, my name is Larry. You wanna be friends?
Lau: Yeah sure. My name is Laurent.
Larry: Cool.
Lau: *Hugs Larry*
Larry: *Smiles*
Lau: Hehe, you're a bunny. I'll call you bunny.
Larry: And you're hair is like a lion. I'll call you lion.
Larry&Lau: Ok! Best friends?
Lau: *Laughing* Sure.
Larry: Ok! I love you best friend.
Lau: I love you too.

2nd Grade
Larry's Mama: What's this? Who is this..?
Larry: It's Laurent! My best friend.
Larry's Mama: Ok...Why is he in a bridesmaid dress?
Larry: The teacher said draw something you love.
Larry's Mama: Oh.
Larry: Then he said draw something or someone you want to be together forever with. I drew Laurent, I want to marry him because I love him!
Larry's Mama: No! You can't marry Laurent.
Mama balled up my paper and threw it away
Larry: B-but Mama, I love Lau.
Larry's Mama: Well, you can't marry him, I'm sorry it's just that you can't have him in that way.
Larry: Ugh..ok Mama..
Flashback Over

I never understood why I couldn't marry Lau. I mean he made me happy and I loved him a lot. We were great best friends, and we still are. I really wish you could marry your best friend. I would ask to marry Lau right now if I could.
Lau: What's wrong? You've been in here for a while.
Larry: Oh, I'm just thinking...I'll be out.
And when we were about to kiss, some parts of me wish Laurent didn't sit back down.  I mean I don't like him like that, but I really love my best friend. I figured that Laurent ate all my food, so I came out the bathroom and went in the kitchen to wash my hands.
Lau: I ate all of your food.
Larry: I knew it. I'll just make another pack of noodles *sigh*
Lau: Aren't you getting tired of those things?
Larry: Uh, neva! They good for your mouth and your taste buds.
Lau: I hate them when they're over cooked. Their slimy and have a higher chance of getting cold and sticky.
Larry: Whatever.
He got up from the table and I turned around. Once again, our lips were inches apart. My heart started to beat fast, and Laurent seemed nervous, so he backed up.
Lau: I'll be in my room if you need me.
Larry: O-ok.. *sigh* I just wish you would understand..
